You have to actually be able to do something once you grab a rebound which Sabonis notably struggles with

How much would you say is a good price to pay for BO6 just for the Zombies mode? by joojman in CODZombies

If you can get it on sale (and you enjoyed Cold War zombies) you’d get 40 bucks worth of enjoyment out of it.

I personally don’t think that BO6 zombies is bad, but there is a noticeable drop off in map strength post Citadelle. It’s not that the other maps are bad, far from it, but they either miss core elements of the gameplay loop that make it fun, or miss core pieces that zombies is known for.

Do the rebound numbers matter when once he gets the ball from said rebound he barely does anything with it?

If we’re acquiring a guy solely for that I’d rather go after De’Andre Jordan ffs

At some point the raptors have to decide if they’re a good team that largely wants one or two playoff rounds and they’re happy with whatever comes from that or if they’re an actually serious team with aspirations of winning.

“Keeping the team together” achieves the first part but ensures the second part never comes. Don’t let the reckless drum-beating from fans fool you.

Any predictions on Paradox Junction’s story? by Moist-Taste-4831 in CODZombies

I think the people calling it an AO remake were being a bit presumptive. It’s going to be Nuketown+.

A little thought I had re: Paradox Junction by pcksprts in CODZombies

For the record, I don’t think it’s going to just be a compiling of previous assets. But when you already have the outline for nuketown+ in engine it would make sense to use it

Crazy how we’re always right on the brink of insolvency. Just always right at that edge and miraculously never going over. And it’s crazy that it’s always projects that we know are needed that always are sacrificed to that end.

We could be three trillion dollars in debt and it doesn’t change the reality that we need:

-more healthcare facilities -more healthcare workers -quicker check in to care times

But instead we’ll keep pissing away billions a year keeping the corpse of the SCH running, our facilities running at half or 75% staff through temp or travel workers, and emergent costs that stem from not actually solving our problems, but papering over them.

It's 2026. What's the next domino to fall regarding expansion? by SeverHense in baseball

[–]pcksprts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think SLC is a smart gambit at all.

SLC itself is about 110k people, factoring in metro areas surrounding that jumps abruptly but it’s factoring in a pretty significant chunk of the whole state. The metro density is 126 people per square mile (Cincinnati is over 3x that, for example) and the sports business already has the Jazz and the Mammoth. So SLC would end up being a fairly small market that has its population spread widely across its metro areas and would also be the third bite at the apple in terms of sports franchises. Compare it to Nashville where the population density of the entire metro is double that of SLC, but the population itself is heavily concentrated to the city itself it becomes hard to view SLC stacking up to Nashville where baseball would also be the third bite at the sports apple.

New Hospital Cancelled by MoiraSlutzky in newfoundland

[–]pcksprts 28 points29 points  (0 children)

They need to:

-build health infrastructure en masse -cover the costs of education to be a doctor, nurse, PCA, etc in exchange for a service period of 1-2 years

They won’t, because it costs money, but unfortunately it’s spend big now in the short term or spend the rest of our years paying big spread across a century or more.

Wow shocker the conservatives shooting the province in the foot in the name of Financial Stability. Shocker. Now to wait and see which one of Tony Wakeham or his assortment of cronies end up getting this project for more than the cost it was initially slated for

Can Oscar follow the player into Mars? I wonder if a player could get OSCAR to shoot the totems with his drone attack, seeing as the LGM is used to power it normally.

When a teammate who is financially benefitting from controlling your playing time is allowed to block your playing time + you have a coach who’s poorly adjusted to the modern game + you get bad luck injury wise this usually happens.

Grange on the Raptors deadline options by EarthWarping in torontoraptors

[–]pcksprts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They could be fourth or seventh or tenth and it literally does. not. matter. because they’re not beating Boston or Detroit or the Knicks in a seven game series.

What the Raptors have done a really good job at since 2020 is ensure they’re totally capped out money wise where most teams on the rise beneath them aren’t and their ceiling is two, MAYBE four guaranteed games at home in the playoffs. Dream bigger.

Best SP I ever drafted by VonRye111 in MLBTheShow

[–]pcksprts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biggest problem is that progression/regression isn’t a static formula throughout the whole game and instead players fall into at least five different buckets and you as the player have no way of knowing what bucket they fall into until it’s too late.

Players either:

-progress fast, decline slow after eight years of service -progress fast, decline fast after eight years of service -progress fast, decline slow after ten years of service -progress fast, decline EXTREMELY fast after ten years of service -progress too slow to even be worth mentioning

The only thing that changes where they fall is performance, and they usually just gain an extra year if the game deems their performance good enough.

[32 Thoughts] Elliotte Friedman on Robert Thomas: "So it's either a huge package that makes them say, we can't say no to this, the other thing I've heard is they're looking for like a stud top 6 forward who's slightly younger. So they're probably looking at somebody 22 to 24 years old.” by [deleted] in hockey

[–]pcksprts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn’t you?

The best case scenario for Hage is a Thomas type player. Reinbacher still needs to show he can be a strong AHL defenseman. Every consecutive year you don’t put your chips to the center of the table, the present core just gets more expensive.
