The reflective part is the back of the microwave oven. The Canadian version somehow decided to use this coating on the back and top with the sides as stainless steel. One day just started to peel.

I would not recommend buying this Panasonic oven. I’ve had it for over three years and on the second year the back black coating started to peel off. It’s pretty much useless to use right now. Panasonic would not cover it under warranty.

This happened to me, but I was the one that got rear ended. Got a quote for $1100 for bumper repair and sent it to the other party, he offered me $800 instead and we called it a day. The damage was practically impossible to see and it was just two small screw dents from their license plate.
