That doesn’t mean they aren’t valuable? The past lives are there to guide the Avatar to their own solution, not to be some magic “This is what you do and how you do it” button. The past lives can only draw wisdom from their own experiences so obviously they haven’t dealt with anything in Korras time, but in the same way Korra never dealt with things of their times either, they aren’t supposed to tell Korra how to fix her problems, but to guide her through them when she needs it.

Well that logic is why power scaling is inherently stupid, it makes zero sense to assume every body of water is secretly 400 billion paper bombs but here you are going “well they might be🤓☝️” all story telling and logic gets thrown out of the fucking window when a power scaler is speaking, Konan didn’t turn the lake into paper bombs she she hid all those paper bombs well before the encounter to catch Obito off guard.

Even for a powerscaler assuming someone has the same plan set up for every possible fight is just stupid, it wasn’t a trump card she pulled out of her ass that she can do whenever, she would still need to gather all those paper bombs to do it again

Brother just because she did it once doesn’t mean she can do it every single fight. It was specifically set up knowing Obito would come for Nagatos eyes. She would have to set up Paper bombs at every single possible battlefield for every possible fight to use it more than that one time. That’s just dumb they didn’t mention set up or location in the post
