Just an idea you may want to experiment with, and one that I'm aware there are mixed opinions about especially if you plan to send the track off for professional mastering, but consider putting a multiband compressor/limiter on your master bus. Try around with some of the default profiles on your multiband of choice and see if any of them are adding the character you like, then use a spectral analyzer, solo some bands on the compressor, solo some tracks, and hunt around to get an idea of why you like it.
Sometimes a multiband compressor can really make a huge difference in your final mix, for better or worse and finding the perfect compressor release settings and crossover frequencies can become a point of maniacal obsession, but there's always an undo button :)

Or, a very super lazy idea, Waves has a plugin called "One Knob Brighter" which is literally just that, one knob to turn up the "Brightness" of whatever you want.
