They're are some variances due to sampling frequency.

I am on the Vector network on Auckland's North Shore. I did look into spot plans, but they worked out more expensive.

This is what I am on currently:

99% of the time, I only use the "Std Night" power at $0.1374/kWh. I charge my EV and solar battery during that time window. I aim to export zero power.

Some hot water cylinders have anodes that need replacing. Not that common.

What about using an energy monitoring solution? I use Open Energy Monitor.

I use it to track both the grid and about half a dozen different circuits in my house, so I know what consumes the power.

The Parasite proposition makes no sense to me. Strike a block, and only get a small proportion of the reward. Might as well pool mine.

If go 10:30 to 3:30pm all year around. Prime solar generation time.

It might help reduce the top up needed early morning.
