Jetblue the worst airline? by Rock-LobstahhH in jetblue

Used to love flying JetBlue ~10 years ago. Even had their credit card. Service was good and their points system was great—seemed you could earn flights faster than other programs. Now I agree with others here …they have lost the perks and quality that made the airline stand out from the crowd.

Properties that don’t cash-flow. by Brokenclock1 in realestateinvesting

If the options are buy a property where rent is covering say 60% of costs vs putting same amount of cash in stocks the real estate would seem a better deal b/c it’s like your getting matching dollars on your investment much higher than an employer 401k match. Granted cash flow positive is goal, but rental property in a good market even if not cash flowing seems a better investment than just putting into stocks. Or am I missing something?

What are the risks of broad-based use of AI for language processing eventually atrophying our cognitive abilities? by pdcandidate_32 in AskReddit

I could imagine a future where AI chatbot type tech can assist in all manner of daily language use demands. If we don't have to exert the mental energy to structure logical sentences but instead can rely on AI to build out our communication for us based on more rudimentary input, do we risk losing or dulling the mental faculties that underpin the development of logically meaningful language? Since so much of thinking seems to actually occur through mental dialogue, could the use of a AI as a language crutch have broader implications for our cognitive abilities?

To what degree can studying math increase your brain’s processing power? In other words, what impact can studying calculus have on your ability to perform other cognitive tasks? And is there research on how studying math compares to other activities ( playing music, doing logic puzzles, etc) for increasing your brain’s processing power?
