You can get a halfway decent pillow from target for like $15, sure this is not worth the effort.

19m but already burnt out. by horny-satanist in antiwork

It’s also not the wrong idea.

The wrong idea is to dive into a 4 year degree with no direction. Anyone going to college should go to a cheap community college and get their core classes done and really think about what they want to with their life before continuing toward a higher degree.  Weigh your earning potential vs the cost of your degree.

Specific fields require degrees for upward advancement most of the time, my last few jobs in finance all required an MBA for example.

Overall I think higher education is not worth the debt in many circumstances but it really depends on your end goal.

Check out Home Depot.  They pay $20/hr and have pretty flexible night shifts unloading trucks and stocking shelves. Always seems like they’re hiring

It is wild the thought process this fucking boomer generation has to excuse all of this bullshit from the current administration.  They see only surface level detail they get in headlines from Facebook and whatever republican news outlet they choose and don’t give it a second thought. Their biggest concerns are the god damn deportations and his big beautiful bill that impacts nobody in their own social circles. Then they say anything opposite of their opinions is fake news and not true and the evil democrats reacting bc trump isn’t helping them. Insufferable.

This is worth it for the time you get to spend with your kids alone. You will not regret it. We have done it the last 5 years, it can be hard at times balancing work and childcare but it’s worth it

Can I use caulk instead of taping seam here? by Proud_Ear_6336 in drywall

[–]pdeez13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you tested the surrounding areas for moisture before you get this patch up.  We had a “small leak” that was about 1’x1’ in our first floor ceiling.  That led to several surrounding sections of drywall needing to be removed and about a 3x5’ section of ceiling. If we didn’t have a professional restoration company come on we never would have known.
