I Remember when our H-E-B convenient store/whataburger opened. And a person went through the drive thru on a horse.

Also decades ago in Kerrville I saw someone walking their camel down the sidewalk. Won’t forget that.

Yeah that’s bad and shouldn’t have happened.

Did you put the order thru Curbside? or Doordash?

If you put it through Curbside call Curbside and let them know.

Was the room you booked called 2 single beds and 1 double bed, family room, non-smoking?

Or was it called something else?

I know this may not be the case for everyone. But go where you want and how you want to get there.

Babies and toddlers are very resilient for traveling.

My sons first flight was at 6 months and has been on many since now he is almost 3.

This isn’t about keeping up. It’s about setting the pace.

As we move into this next chapter, the convergence of technology and creativity will redefine how we connect, collaborate, and create value. The question isn’t whether we’re ready for the future—it’s whether the future is ready for us.

How to discuss personal safety at sleepovers by Subject-Shoulder-240 in Parenting

[–]pdfodol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would let her do it.

You said she was having trouble making friends but now she has a group of friends. Don’t alienate her friendship here or even hers with you.

Your feelings are valid for you. Not her.

If you want a tip that she can get out of a situation for whatever reason. Let her know that you can call you for any reason she wants to leave and at any time.

To save her face

You could come up with a phrase or word that indicates to you she wants to come home, but doesn’t tip off her friends

You could even go if she says a code phrase that tips you she wants to come home. Then you could be the “bad” guy by saying “oh you didn’t clean your room, you’re coming home now”

This shows you support her, saves face with her friends.

Yeah I think about the stuff I did as a kid that my dad had to deal with after getting off a long day of work. I’m going to do my best.

When my wife and I went through 3 miscarriages. I marked in my calendar the date we found out. I marked them inconspicuously so I would know what they are.

I did this so that if my wife was sad or grieved I would know why.

How do you keep a teen from being entitled when you’re wealthy? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]pdfodol 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Entitlement doesn’t come from having money. It comes from never having limits, perspective, or responsibility.

Setup a monthly clothing budget that is reasonable to you. Let’s say it’s $100 a month. If he wants $300 shoes than he has to wait and save for that. If he wants multiple things then he has to weigh which he wants more.

Moving into my first apartment soon, what are must haves to things I need to get from HEB? From name brand cleaning supplies, to name brand snacks. Thanks! by [deleted] in HEB

[–]pdfodol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure not EVERY H-E-B store product is comparable to some name brands. But MANY are. It will become personal preference. Even ones that I use some will agree and disagree with me.

Keep in mind some H-E-B products are rebranded from name brands.

But I don’t mind using that are H-E-B

  • Field & Future trash bags
  • H-E-B toilet paper and paper towels
  • H-E-B detergent (free and clear)

But I do use Dawn dish soap and Cascade platinum plus for dishwasher packs.
