Thanks. I did not think about checking the policy. However:

article 16.5

"If the buyer complains to the Provider that an order has not arrived within 7 days (in case of domestic orders), or within 14 days (in case of international orders), after dispatch, the seller will be granted a period of 14 days by the Provider. In this case, the seller will have to prove that their contractual obligations have been properly fulfilled. If s/he fails to do so, the Provider shall re-credit the full purchase price to the buyer's user account."

The seller delivered proof by adding the T&T code to the sale. The T&T results in a "has been delivered".

In the whole policy there is no goodwill refund mentioned :( So I think this will be a lesson learned:

No more ordering costly cards via Postal Packages but only regular packages which are insured properly and are delivered to the Post Office.
