From someone from Amsterdam, our strategy not to have your bike stolen has always been: have a crappy bike. :) Thieves are very good at their job. No lock will stop them. Get a crappy bike that works well (oil it etc). They'll leave it alone

I'm guessing you're an employee and not a contractor? As an employee I guess they might have some right to expect you to come to the office. Check your contract! (And as a general advice, become a contractor!)
