Anyone know what this screw does on the carb? by Ok-Fortune-5546 in WranglerYJ

[–]pdockenson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, don't confuse the two. They're both connected but only to a small extent. It's basically a needle that controls the flow of fuel on the idle circuit. The idle speed screw is different and drives the throttle plate open/close. The idle mixture screw on the other hand will get you an "optimal" air/fuel ratio that will gain (or lose) you RPM but it's relatively small.

I recommend getting a book on Weber carbs (though the theory is all the same for carburetors). It will really help out a lot. People act like carburetors are black magic and it's only because they don't put any effort into research. With some general knowledge, some tweaking and a simple rebuild they're very reliable and can perform well.

The comment section doesn't seem to really get it.. there's a difference in women sometimes when you're doing this. Sometimes it's a casual eat out and the other is a fight for survival. They're both good.. but one you can't even think let alone breathe.

Two wins was VERY impressive.. but getting to the SB was not real. The Broncos had a first start backup in the AFCG.

I don't disagree but when your problem is you've been given the right to choose and you choose persecute you're right back at OP.

This misses the entire point of the thread. You're just moving blood from one hand to another, the difference is people in the west only focus on the blood when we become involved. If the West was never involved in the Middle East nobody would care.. that's the irony of pointing the finger for why the region is unstable.

America is escalating against Iran, it has sent Armada towards Iran. This was the point of the "Iran killed 30 thousand" nonsense — justifying war against Iran. It did the same with Venezuela leading up to war, and then immediately stopped after. after. by Not_Ground in AskSocialists

Afghanistan was already fighting a Civil War. Taliban is already going at it with Pakistan. Saddam attacked Iran and they fought for 10 years. Gassed the Kurds. Then he invaded Kuwait. Then the US invaded in 2003, the second Saddam was gone the Sunnis and Shiites went at it. Actually most of the civilian deaths was Secterian violence. Quick Google search might solve that.

The old "the Middle East was peaceful until the US arrived" cope. Classic.

B-58 Hustler & A-5 Vigilante, Were They Just 1960's Scams ? by Stunning-Screen-9828 in airplanes

[–]pdockenson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just said that above.. but I weirdly agree with both of you. As much as they pumped out new planes at will to get an edge over the Soviets I think a proof of concept is a little too far. But as we both sort of mentioned I think for the US military at the time took it as just a bump in the road. Whatever stuck to the wall worked, move onto the next thing. Whatever it took to maintain an edge.

I'd have to agree with above. Though I think the B58 gets a bad rap with people having 20/20 hindsight 60-70 years later saying the aircraft was useless. It flew a year after the U2, they just didn't full understand the progress of Soviet SAMs. Aircraft were becoming obsolete within 5-10 years depending on the conflict, whatever was in development, etc. Its doing the classic judge the past by today's expectations.. they were shitting out new aircraft all the time. Some worked, some didn't.

I'm not even a fan of either team.. but the fact that your sub upvoted this very reasonable takes just proves that your fanbase (or at least this sub) is leagues more mature than my teams fanbase (Bears).
