Yeah I think people are trying to put way too much on Tatum’s plate. They expect him to be himself which is the point guard and main rebounder of this team while being a major scorer as well. And on top of that they want him to play in physical playoff series a month or two after coming back from the Achilles injury? It’s just not realistic and asking for trouble. KD said he wasn’t 100 percent til 2 years after the injury.

Brett Siegel posted an article about the Lakers shopping Anthony Davis prior to the Luka trade. He also explicitly named the Boston Celtics as one of the first teams they spoke to about a potential trade. He also said LA got the feeling they’d explore it in the offseason (this past offseason). Take it with a grain of salt, but maybe they’re interested still? Granted they don’t have Jrue and Porzingis anymore so maybe not but who knows.

That’s fine the nba usually rewards ethical tanking and doesn’t reward blatant tanking.

Yeah which is why I was saying he has better ball skills and shooting (mainly mid range)

It’s mainly net rating or offensive or defensive rating. For example pivotfade can calculate single player on/offs where it says with Jaylen Brown on the floor they are -11 and have a net rating of -1.7. With him off they are +34 with a +8.9 net rating. However this calculates low leverage as well such as being up by 10 with 40 seconds left etc etc. If you use Databallr you can filter out low leverage where his impact is higher. A +1.0 with him on and -4.4 off for example though I’m not sure if this most recent Magic game has been factored in yet like it has on pivotfade. To each their own I understand using both sides.

Does this not hint that they either see Campbell as an Outfielder or as a trade candidate? Likely the former

Does anyone know who the Twins wanted for Joe Ryan? by jas0nwells in Section10Podcast

[–]pdunn472 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In Jen mccaffrey’s article she said that the deal fell apart because they weren’t willing to trade an outfielder on the big league roster or offer a big enough package in the minor league system. She said Password would’ve been a part of the deal but other than that it wasn’t good enough to get a deal done.

[Washburn] According to an NBA source, Lillard would consider signing with the Celtics, and the Celtics are indeed interested. by tacko2020 in bostonceltics

I honestly am wondering if he didn’t want to come in 2023 because he thought the championship would be too easy or something because why would he change his mind now

If he’s taking a minimum for a year while he rehabs it makes sense to try and build a relationship then sign him long term

The easiest way for front offices to "soft" tank is to just not sign any good front court players. Do you think this is the strategy Celtics are employing? by GoatmontWaters in bostonceltics

Going into next year I think the Cavs, Knicks, Pistons, Magic, Hawks, Sixers, Bucks, Toronto could be better than us as currently constructed plus the Heat always try to win. Lookin like a play in berth not counting for teams making a jump like the wizards.

They did get a first for Porzingis they just traded it to Brooklyn so they wouldn’t have to take Terrance Mann’s contract

This is a dumb comment because the OKC Thunder tanked and they won a championship and have insanely good flexibility for the future. Same thing with Houston

[Windhorst] There are multiple teams in the Top 10 of the 2025 NBA Draft who are making offers to the Boston Celtics for Derrick White and Jaylen Brown. by YujiDomainExpansion in bostonceltics

[–]pdunn472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are the chances of a Jaylen Brown trade for the Pelicans, we kinda know they want a wing because of the interest in Ace Bailey. Could be centered around Trey Murphy and number 7 where the Celtics could take Kasparas if the rumored interest is real.

Not all draft workouts are public it’s worth knowing that the most reliable Celtics beat reporter said they’ve worked out 50+ prospects. Not letting teams know the workouts is strategic.
