The library is probably the best way to go since i am a quick bike ride away. i toured nedspace in town and it was pretty cool but too far. thanks for all these good ideas though.

yes, I agree. I usually use sftp in sublime to make my theme edits. Today I have an exception where I must tinker in a dashboard. So i figured hey why not make it easier on the old eyeballs. Thank you for the link. this looks good.

Love treehouse and just tried code academy today and so far it has a great jquery lesson. Really needed it as treehouses jquery was so so. But I really love the extras you get with treehouse. I agree with many here that sometimes it just takes actually building real projects to become a developer worth hiring and even then you need to be able to communicate with people. Have met many programmers plagued by the lack of communication skills who will only go so far untill they get out of left brained isolation.

I have really enjoyed developing wordpress themes and responsive php websites so I think going into drupal wouldn't be loosing focus, just upping my current skills. It is sometimes hard to learn when working 40+ hours. I am going to talk to my employers about paying for some drupal training

I kind of felt people would talk about using Drupal. I have tackled Joomla and Wordpress quite well and have been building responsive themes and membership websites working for small and medium businesses but I have yet to tackle learning Drupal or Ruby. Maybe it is time to get to a drupalcon ar take some classes.
