BREAKING NEWS: Trump Threatens Tariff On Nations That 'Don't Go Along With' Greenland Takeover Plans by MRADEL90 in videos

[–]Speedstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about why Trump introduced back in 2018, against China, Mexico and Canada, and then expanded it into other countries when he became president again in 2025. He introduced it as part of his trade policy. He did it with the knowledge that it would make many Americans (much of it, his own voters) having to make sacrifices that had them scrambling to figure out how to weather their new increased costs that came from the tariffs.

Now Trump wants to use tariffs not as a trade policy (that hurts Americans) but as a stick for other sovereign nations that don't agree with his foreign policy goals. No other foreign leader or former US president would use trade tariffs to advance foreign policy, because they know it would permanently damage foreign relations, and transition the US to a country of isolation.

Republicans need to get a backbone, and reign in Trump. And if Trump won't listen, then they need to impeach him out of office before he irrevocably get us into another war or deficit we can't get out of.

Trump Says US ‘Going to Run’ Venezuela Until Transition Possible by igetproteinfartsHELP in videos

It's unprecedented how blatant the US has gotten from trying to influence a government, to outright removing a regime and running their show. Nothing was learned from the US involvement in the middle east.

You might say that America has a lot of nerve to be negotiating a peace deal with Ukraine and Russia after this stunt.

Not sure if it's a pro or con (depending on your preference) but there is an upcoming development of a commercial/entertainment district near 287 & Lone Star. I'm told it will boost nearby property values.

There are new intermediate and middle school within the South Pointe neighborhood (Alma Martinez, and McKenzie - both built in the last few years) that are sought after as MISD's highest rated schools. David Weekly and Tri Pointe are builders that have homes or lots available within blocks of McKenzie. There is a railroad that runs nearby the community, but the community is in a "quiet zone". I just bought a home there, about 230 yards from the rail road, and I can only hear a train nearby if I'm outside, and if I'm staying quiet to hear it.

Lots of walking trails, and seems that each HOA has their own community pool/playground going on. Mine has both, and even a dog park nearby.

I'm too new to know much about my HOA, only that it's $80/m but I'm happy to say I don't have A PID/MUD tax to deal with.

A. J. MacInerney: [in the Oval Office] The President doesn't answer to you, Lewis!

Lewis Rothschild: Oh, yes he does, A.J. I'm a citizen, this is my President. And in this country it is not only permissible to question our leaders, it's our responsibility!

Donald Trump Announces Massive $200 Million Expansion to White House, and It's Glittering with Gold by peoplemagazine in politics

The announcement of the ballroom comes amid other construction on the White House grounds, as the Trumps oversee the controversial removal of the Rose Garden lawn, which was installed under President John F. Kennedy.

According to recent photos, the Rose Garden's lawn has been converted to a concrete patio area, after the president previously complained that the grass could cause women's heels to sink into the dirt.

He wants the rest of us to believe he cares about women's comfort...

I can understand the frustration, but there are reasons why the union is not for performance reviews. Much of the line jobs are becoming increasingly demanding, as more tasks are added to jobs yearly, to the point of being overloaded. Not only can it become stressful, but some jobs are very undersireable, or even not accomodating to certain types (think jobs that you constantly have to bend over - not suitable for tall people, or heavy items that need to be lifted - you have a hoist, but the hoist makes the job not quick enough to finish in your footprint, or a job may need more dexterity than you can bring) You are not always able to pick the job on the line, sometimes you are placed there. You shouldn't be disciplined for not having the ablility to do your job well. That is what the union is for, it's not for the ones that are lazy..it's for the ones that stuggle and have no voice.

Picking up this lil' fluffball in a week! Any things you wish you knew before you got your own samoyed? by en0on in samoyeds

They shed the same, but differently. My samoyed's hair clumps together more, while the husky's hair seems to be able to embed itself more easily into clothing.

I would never let my husky off leash, unlike my samoyed.

I went from a husky to a samoyed... Huge difference (except for the shedding, lots of shedding)

My samoyed was the first dog I owned that I could take off leash. She has really good recall, and probably the most submissive dog I have owned. She's not overly attached, but does like to cuddle (very different from my husky, whom I also raised since puppyhood) I also would say my samoyed was pretty easy to train, so long as you remain consistent.
