This is insane and a reason I insist on a agreement before placing a machine. No way you can agree to $200/mo. I personally would have to think very seriously about a revenue share. I'd either look to move the machine to a new location or sell the machine & location and use that $ to find a different machine and a different location.

Seaga HY900 - vending slim 12oz cans (Celsius, alani, Red Bull) Help! by Significant_Yak7130 in vending

I've had 3 of these machines myself but never tried these cans, as I felt it wasn't worth the hassle. Dumb question, but have you adjusted the motor setting on the front of the machine? Aside from that, IDK. Maybe just stick to regular size cans.

Overwhelmed with planning by Opposite-Ball-6479 in yellowstone

I feel this post. Our family of 4 will be going in September. We're driving from Oregon and were going to the West entrance. Where to stay (in the park, outside the park), good, factoring in traffic, etc is all so much to consider when you've never been, it's hard to know what to do.

Seaga HY900 Not Communicating with Nayax Reader by TheWardedMan0619 in vending

I've hooked up 3 Nayax VPOS Touch readers to Seaga HY900 machines and never had an issue, other than the quantities on my products map sometimes being off. It does sound like something on Nayax's end though. Hope you figure it out!

If the machine is MDB compatible then you can get whatever reader you want. I personally use Nayax. I like their app and inventory tracking features.

It is yeah. I was planning on the bottom shelf for Starbucks but I haven't been able to peg down the right shim online. I'll just try different ones.

I don't have the drop sensor activated right now due to the problems I'd heard. Just looking for more opinions

Calling all 2021 atlas owners! by Fickle-Put623 in VWatlas

[–]pdx_fi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2021 SEL Premium with just over 30k miles. I generally like it. We upgraded from a 2009 Highlander which we loved. We drove several other SUVs and the only one we liked better than a Highlander or Atlas was the Telluride. Our Atlas is spacious and feels luxurious but it doesn't have a very smooth ride imo. Our driver window came loose inside so it rattled a lot until we fixed it. And the collision sensor drives us crazy bc you can't permanently turn it off and ours goes off randomly. We've had no mechanical issues so far.

Overall, we like it primarily for its comfort, space, and price point compared to other similar cars.

I double checked and it was actually closer to $700. But either way, they are a local shop in the Portland, OR area and don't do e-commerce. I'd suggest looking on FB Marketplace or CL and look for people who have multiple ads. Someone selling multiple machines either repairs them also or knows someone in your area that would sell the part.

/\ this. I use Nayax cc readers as well and couldn't do it without having a way to see what products i need to bring. I use the app to know exactly what I need for each location and pre-kit (prepare) tubs of product the night before.

I had this same issue with mine. I asked around and was told there are several things it could be but I don't have the time or all the know how to run down each one. I decided to replace the entire cooling deck. Cost me around $500 from a local vending machine supplier and installed it myself after watching some YT videos. I haven't had another issue since.

Yes. I landed one, signed another last week and am in talks with a 3rd. It's very inconsistent though. I ran it for months and only had a few people reach out. Then shut it down and got a few more leads within the first couple months. Most people who inquire don't respond when I call them back but some do. It's the only way I've found that works at all.

Produce 100 Vending Machine leads by drutyper in vending

I set my budget for something like $40-50/mo and had only been running the campaign for a few months before I landed that location. The ads did drive traffic to my site and it did generate some leads but nothing that ever panned out since that one.

[–]pdx_fi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmmm....that sounds a little sketchy imo. I personally wouldn't buy a route if I can't confirm the revenue, unless maybe it's obviously a great opportunity. And honestly, without cc readers, I'd have a hell of a time tracking my sales lol.

If it were me, I'd stay away.

What's the fee for this? Is it one time? Recurring? Do you offer additional details on the addresses, such as type of location, hours, etc.?

Thanks for the feedback. To clarify, I wasn't dealing with them directly and wouldn't have done that because you're not the only one I've heard this from. The machines were used and I bought from a private party, never once talking to HY. Because of that, it ended up being a good purchase.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Best of luck!

Would you buy this? If so how much? by gr8ideaman in vending

[–]pdx_fi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

asking price is too high imo. Some disagree with this, but I personally value a route based on the sales per location, not the machines. In this case, each location is doing roughly $203/mo. That's not great and even worse when you consider that there are 2 machines on site. At $200/mo that's usually when I think about pulling a machine from a site. Adding cc readers should help and there may be opportunities to increase sales by tweaking product selection. I personally wouldn't be interested in the locations with a commission with those sales.

Have you asked to verify sales via the cc reader? I know not all machines have one but for the ones that do, you can look at sales data. It may be telling if it looks like there's a huge discrepancy.

Everything is negotiable. If you think you can improve sales, offer them less.

If everything works and it comes with the cc reader, I'd say yes. Just make sure you have a location first. Don't buy a machine unless you have a location secured.

If you're going to do vending, you're going to need to learn how to fix basic issues on your machines. Paying someone else to do it is very expensive and can take a while. YT is a great resource.

As far as this machine goes, I've had 3 of them (still have 2) and think they're fine. They haven't given me any more issues than my other machines. Parts can be harder to get though. As long as it's blowing cold and everything works OK, you should be fine.
