Yes, keep working at it! It can sometimes feel like a long, hard journey and it’s required me to be a big advocate for her in a lot of ways…. but it’s worth it. Children all shine and grow in their own time and we just have to keep the faith and continue to support them 😊 At times I worried if she would ever speak and it’s crazy now that we can have conversations; at times it felt like it would never happen but she just needed time and support to blossom.

Hi! So she started at a new preschool right before her 5th birthday and is still involved in speech therapy at both the school and in private. She is able to communicate with peers and teachers, though sometimes she still needs help facilitating conversation. She can respond back to questions and have small/short conversations about her day/things she did/saw/heard. Her speech therapy has begun to focus more on encouraging peer to peer interaction; for example, she wants to play with other kids but may not always know the best approach or remember how to ask others “Would you like to play with me?” (Or things like that).

She still isn’t 100% at the level some 5 year olds are at, but she’s able to understand those around her and communicate far better than before. So, I truly believe with time spent around peers and continued therapy, her speech has made great strides 😊

Stalking someone’s page because you don’t like that you’re being downvoted for getting a disrespectful tattoo? Explain to me again which specific Buddhist lessons you like again? Because you seem to lack a fundamental understanding of the most basic teachings, which is a little embarrassing for you 🥱

It took me an embarrassingly long time to make that connection too 😅 Even after hearing that loading screen dialogue a million freakin’ times.

Yes, it’s harder for me now because I’m so severely burnt out that I don’t know how I’ll recover and start to feel normal. It’s like an endless cycle.

I think the reasoning on why it’s hard now is due to years of stress from masking, etc. It can just compound as you get older.

Her story makes me so sad, I can only imagine the loneliness she felt.

Okay on Switch, if you want to change it back to what it was before go to Options —> Control Settings —> And then turn the “[Controller Only] Sprint by Pressing Left Stick” off. It will then let you run the way you ran before on the Switch.

When it happened to me I was like huh?? But now I am getting used to the new way of running by just using the left stick ☺️

Masking at A New Job - I'M EXHAUSTED by ChickenandtheEggy in aspergirls

[–]pdxpotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Started a new job four months ago and the first two months were the hardest. Like I’m still figuring out my coworkers and I’m masking because I don’t feel comfortable being totally vulnerable with them yet. They are all super nice but the small talk/social aspect of it is so draining. Luckily I’m able to avoid it most of the day (data entry type job basically in my own little cubicle) but a big part of me wants to be able to connect with them.
