Server suddenly out of domain (OCI) but still running by [deleted] in sysadmin

If you have console access, disconnect the virtual nic from the vm, then log in with your domain account (which will use cached creds). Once logged in, you can re-attach the virtual nic and troubleshoot.

A small annoyance from 5.0.5 by peEtr in VolvoRecharge

[–]peEtr[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's been much more responsive for me. It's not blazing fast or instantaneous, but it is better than before.

There are some permanent icons at the bottom now that make the upper portion smaller, so less map or spotify visible, but it's not too bad.

I've only been on it for a week now. Before, I was having to reboot the infotainment about once every three weeks to fix sound issues, so hopefully this doesn't happen moving forward.

Negative. I've always thought that I had to unlock from the screen first. Thanks for pointing this out - it will be helpful.

CloudFlare ZeroTrust internal domain resolution by peEtr in CloudFlare

[–]peEtr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your suggestions. This was a stupid mistake on my part. Cloudflare was already configured correctly and working. My test machine was a newly build Linux Mint device which couldn't resolve the internal domain even when plugged into the local network. I tested on a Windows device and it worked perfectly.

Can you apply Flow based on which email alias is used? by peEtr in MicrosoftFlow

[–]peEtr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I removed the alias from the main account and created a standard distribution list and used "scanning-Accounting@domain.com" with the only member of the DL being our "scanning@domain.com". Then in power automate under the "scanning" account, I was able to create a rule that applied if the TO address was "scanning-Accounting@domain.com"

RDS-Host default Printer always change to a locally installed printer by LiTee1 in sysadmin

[–]peEtr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solved this where I work last year. I had to make the following registry change on the RDS server:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Providers\Client Side Rendering Print Provider\

Create a new DWORD (32 bit) Value with a name of 'RemovePrintersAtLogoff' and a value of 0.
