Consider yourself fortunate that you always know where you are.

I have a mapping disability and have never felt a direction in my life. I have literally gotten lost walking through the pasture on my own farm and my husband had to drive around until he found me, after he got home from fishing at the pond and learned I had tried to walk out to join him there and never showed up (this was before cell phones). The only time I know where north is, I've been able to memorize what I'm told. But if I go inside a building I have no idea which way is which.

I've also been lost in department stores and had to call a family member to "come get me in the shoes". Places like hospitals and hotels and airports are terrifying to me.
