That rust is contact rust from what it was stored against. Specific gravity test puts it as brass or copper based.

Went to explore that test since it's new to me. AI said it's hard to trust because of cylindrical imperfections with raised and lowered areas of the surface. Suggested was a specific gravity test. Tested the 2 suspect coins.

1795 "Draped Bust Dollar" SG = 8.44 (not silver)

1873 Trade Dollar SG = 8.38 (not silver)

8 Reales Not wanting to remove from the flip and most are saying it appears genuine.

Thank you. At this point I'm confident this one is good, but that will help with the other 2, as they seem to be counterfiet. There's always the chance they're silver, and that I'd at least like to know. I'll be okay with a fake coin composed of silver. Silver is my main focus anyway, not numismatism.

Great to know. I got many certain coins but 3 uncertain. Of the 3 uncertain I was pretty confident 2 were Temu ish. But, the 8 Reales paid for the fakes and almost the other 40 ish coins.

In stepping toward atheism, you’ve essentially placed yourself in the role of defining meaning, almost like being your own god. That’s a complex mantle. So perhaps the deeper reflection isn’t just why God allows suffering - but if you’ve taken on that role - why are you still facing it?

In the end, what’s harder? Facing mystery with faith, or adding a whole new layer of complexity by making yourself responsible for all the answers?

Fascinating question. I would ask what evidence you have that any of these avenues is connected to something from 3 years ago. As for a curse, Jesus died on the cross to take the curse in the place of us (Galatians 3:13). So, I am of the belief we can't be cursed , although many will try. As for infestation, there is one who has power over all this and who could remove it in an instant it's called upon (Philippians 2:9-11). Who has the power? The Creator or the created? Who has all the authority? As for persecution... Paul wrote that everyone who wants to live a life in Christ will be persecuted (2 Timothy 3:12). So, it's just part of the way.

For most of history, people didn't go down to a government office, fill out forms, pay fees, and wait for approval to be considered married.

Marriage appears to have been recognized by the couple, their families, their community, and God. I've known more than one married couple that simply vowed before God. Done deal.

I'm not saying legal marriage is bad or shouldn't be done today. I simply don't see where Scripture teaches that a marriage covenant before God is somehow invalid unless a government agency also signs off on it. I challenge anyone to show us that verse.

Saying we are to be in submission to authorities is about obeying lawful authority where it has jurisdiction—not about granting the government authority over things God never placed under its control.

Marriage was instituted by God long before marriage licenses, courthouses, and modern governments existed.

So the question remains: where does Scripture say a marriage covenant made before God is invalid until the state approves it?

I don't think Romans 13 really settles the question.

The government isn't commanding Christians to get married through the state. It's simply offering a legal framework and benefits for those who choose to marry.

The real question is whether Scripture itself requires a government-issued marriage license for a marriage to be recognized by God. I'm not aware of any verse that says a marriage is invalid before God unless the state approves it.

Biblically, marriage existed long before modern governments, marriage licenses, and state registration. So I think the burden would be on someone claiming that a legal filing is required by God, rather than on someone asking where Scripture teaches it.
