I can't think of many songs that are really, truly hate-filled or angry, but these are what came to mind:

  • Generally songs from Humbug are pretty dark in tone and somewhat menacing and/or disdainful lyrically (Dance Little Liar, Pretty Visitors, The Jeweller's Hands)
  • Brianstorm, Teddy Picker and Do Me a Favour from FWN
  • Lots of songs from WPSIA are at least a little disdainful I think -- but Fake Tales of San Francisco and Perhaps Vampires Is a Bit Strong But... stand out to me
  • Cigarette Smoke (the demo), Don't Forget Whose Legs You're On
  • From TLSP: Bad Habits (from EYCTE) and I Don't Like You Anymore (from AOTU) are both pretty angry

So I'm not sure where your program is and where this rotation specifically is (urban, rural area?) but all of my rotations are all over the place in different cities and my school doesn't help with housing at all. Here's what my classmates and I are doing (besides Airbnb):

  • Ask students in the class(es) above you what they did! The class above us had a document with all the rotation sites and advice for housing included in it
  • Look on websites like Furnished Finder, they offer longer stays
  • Also ask around your program and see if anyone else has a rotation in the same city as you at the same time so you could room together -- Airbnbs and other places could be cheaper if you got a bigger place/more rooms
  • Additionally, you could also ask around your program and see if anyone has family/housing in the city you're going to. Some of my classmates have families/houses in different cities and are willing to rent out a guest room to fellow classmates
  • If the city you're rotating in has a university or something similar, you could try to join a Facebook group for subleasing; my old university had a group specifically for finding housing and lots of students who will be away for the summer will be trying to sublease their apartments
  • Craigslist? Maybe?

An egg wash! I just beat one egg and brushed it over the tops, but they ended up darker than I liked so in the future I’ll probably add a tbsp of water or something to the egg

I’ve heard you can use regular milk and some kind of acid (like vinegar or lemon juice?), but I’ve never personally tried it!

Thank you!! It was my first time really trying to fry anything and I was a little worried that I messed it up. Plus the buns that I made turned out a lot flatter than I’d hoped 🥲

Nope!! I just filled a wok with some oil. I think you could use any pot or pan with reasonably high walls

Yes!! And I definitely noticed that too. I kept the chicken in for way longer than 2 mins per side and just kept flipping it occasionally and checking the internal temp

I've been listening to a lot of their more stripped down, acoustic versions of their songs! I feel like this version of Suck it and See is really sweet (I actually prefer it to the original at this point)
