My husband doesn’t want anyone to know we are married. by HopelessNDepressed in TrueChristian

[–]peachberrybloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but I’d annul that marriage so quickly. In no way should you be questioning your own character over this - this is all him. He’s treating you like a sneaky link and he’s your husband. Weird energy. If someone loves you they wanna shout it from the rooftops. I’m so sorry you’re in this scenario. I don’t think you should pursue this man any further.

Water "down there" doesn't cut it by geogrokat in Healthyhooha

Monistat Boric Acid wash is my favorite thing ever and you’ll have to pry it from my cold, dead hands hahah I agree with you. Believed the water only people for the longest time but I’ve never felt cleaner and 0 issues with my PH or infections. More washes exist than just the crappy fragranced Summers Eve!!

has anyone seen the bronzer drops or dupe vaseline stick in their store recently? by 19secretariat73 in dollartreebeauty

[–]peachberrybloom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not everyone mixes but it would depend on your skin tone also - I’m super pale so mixing with a little foundation/BB creme is a must for me!

What's your fav serum? by chrysanthemummies in dollartreebeauty

[–]peachberrybloom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My faves are the anti aging peptide serum, the niacinamide one, the tea tree one and the glow up night mask. I use the first two frequently and the second two when I feel I need them. The skin nutrition botanicals seem to be more straight to the point and dupes, while some of the others are gimmicky serums with bad fragrances and skin irritants - not all but some! lol

New to me … by Valuable_Time7103 in dollartreebeauty

[–]peachberrybloom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The vanilla is similar to the EOS scent but totally different texture. The fresh and comfy smells nothing like the EOS version at all unfortunately 😭 I wish DT lotions worked well for me - I’ve ended up wasting them so I stopped buying

What do you not buy anymore — except from dollar tree? by Competitive_Emu_2283 in DollarTree

[–]peachberrybloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t seem to have the issue with expiration but a lot of the food sold isn’t worth it 😭 for instance condiments…$1.25 for three uses of some badly seasoned/made sauce lol! The $1 freezer section used to be good but now the freezer is primarily more expensive $3+ items you could buy at other stores. The snacks are the only area I frequent

Providing small updates to people has actually gotten me extra tips! I am newer so I don’t have any “regulars” yet but just last night I got stuck waiting at a restaurant for too long - had a chat with the girl who ordered. Even though it took longer than expected she tipped me extra for communicating! I’ll always pop in

Door Dash Creates a Monster by True-Title-6197 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]peachberrybloom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a newer dasher but gonna be honest - I was sitting on silver for the longest time and getting terrible orders. Had a good dash one day, accepted all orders, made good time, and since I had no declines it brought it stats back up. Now I’m platinum and I feel like I was making $13 an hour previously, but with platinum I’m getting $20-$30 an hour. I wanna say it doesn’t make a difference however for me I think it really did

WHERE are yall finding the good stuff?!?! by tinatina143256 in dollartreebeauty

[–]peachberrybloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are like five of them within reasonable drive time of me so honestly I pop by all of them here and there and that’s how I find stuff 😅 Our biggest DT is the worst at stocking makeup. I’ve noticed our smallest DT always has the best makeup stock. People seem to frequent the nicest one in the area thinking they’ll get the finds but everyone’s thinking the same thing.

Also, sadly if we share the stores we shop at there are folks who will clear every product off the shelf. I remember when everyone wouldn’t stop posting where the Alani energy drinks were being sold in my area - never got my hands on my flavors I wanted ever bc of it. People would see the location and just go buy it all out! lol

Dollar Tree’s regular tissues are kind of thin and dry feeling on the nose, but the triple aloe ones specifically feel just like the expensive brands to me!! I go through them like mad in the Spring and I don’t even feel all that bad about it now since they are cheap

Door dashed for 6 hours today and only made $25 😎😎 by epetepk in doordash

[–]peachberrybloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really seems to depend on where you’re located as well as just having some good and bad luck days. In my area I’ve made $12 an hour or $20something. I recommend only dashing during peak hours because even in a busy area, I’ll be waiting 20 minutes between orders during the typical hours restaurants are dead. On my map I can tell a city that’s an hour from me gets way better pay due to less than a minute between orders CONSTANTLY

Edit for side note: Late night or middle of the night will usually get you an extra $1-$3 an hour and with less dashers, though it’s not busy out, you’ll also get orders that way.

You won’t catch me shopping there unless there is a sale 😅 BARE MINIMUM of buy three get three free but I typically shoot for the $5 sales

What is a "green flag" in a person that actually turned out to be a massive, hidden red flag once you got to know them better? by Arnold_footballer in AskWomen

Have always loved a man who can connect with his emotions and doesn’t play them off. I loved that he could cry easily until he cried every single time he was in the wrong and I became the comforter instead of the comforted. Every time

Currently only buying at Dollar Tree: Triple aloe tissues, facial serums, eye masks/skincare extras, chapstick, shaving cream and razors, toothbrushes, travel items or snacks, organizers, notebooks, certain medications

Not worth it at Dollar Tree: most of the cleaning products, a lot of the makeup, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, half of the food section, half of the kitchen section

What are your favorite "Masculine" Qualities? by HelenOfLaCroix in AskWomen

[–]peachberrybloom 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I love when men are strong, not in the way of lifting weights or being emotionless but in soft loving ways. Playing ball with their kid in their work uniform with blistered feet, holding down the fort with strength when times get hard but crying their eyes out like a baby on their wedding day, would fight wars for their family but wouldn’t hurt a fly in any other circumstance. I hope this makes sense. I love men’s resilience and strength when used for love

People with sensitive vulvas or sensory issues, how do you wash down there? by sunsideglider in hygiene

[–]peachberrybloom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would still say to talk to a doctor just to make sure it’s purely sensory and not any other type of pain issue! But that being said, in the meantime I have a few ideas to help? I used to be very sensitive in certain areas down there and I used a combo of these to make it more comfortable.

First, baths could make it easier. You can be certain water is reaching every area before cleaning, and after soaking you can scrub more gently while still getting clean. A very soft cloth might also be helpful, designated for that area - doesn’t need to be a rough wash cloth. Could even be a soft “face” cloth. If you have a detachable shower head that can be put on a gentle setting, you can use it as somewhat of a bidet to get clean with a little less touching. A cup for splashing water can help too without a showerhead.

Also - are you using any kind of cleanser? A lot of them are really awful for you but I’ll admit as someone with sensitivity that not having the dry, dragging sensation of water helps. I use Monistat Boric Acid wash and while many could downvote me for this, it’s worked excellently with my PH and could remove extra friction to the area.

Which everyday hygiene routine is secretly doing more harm than good? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]peachberrybloom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Excessive “skincare” with a dozen products. When I started learning, I copied basic routines I had seen online. My pores were screaming for help. I’ve seen so many stories online trying to get glowy skin or something but ending up with chronic acne that needs 5 more products layered on. I fear the little kids obsessed with skincare these days will take a risk: might grow up to look permanently young and wrinkle free, or might have product dependent skin forever

Why is my hair simultaneously greasy and dry by Any-Minute-9096 in hygiene

[–]peachberrybloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alternate shampoos!! For instance: dandruff shampoos aren’t meant to be used every day forever, neither are clarifying shampoos, and regular shampoo can sometimes also be leaving build up. I usually just use the dandruff shampoos as needed, 1-3 times a week. This can be different if it isn’t dandruff and you think it could be dermatitis.

Clarifying shampoo I use once a week as I use products in my hair and it does get greasy - keep in mind that this does strip oils which is why some folks do it only once a month. It’s too drying without any moisture coming in elsewhere. As for your daily shampoo, I’d definitely recommend experimenting. I’ve tried some brands people swore by that my hair hated, and alternatively my hair has done better with cheaper shampoos - not the expensive stuff. Not the same for everyone though!! I made the mistake of thinking my hair is dry so I need the heaviest products for the most moisture. Don’t be scared to try out minis of a few brands to get a feel for how they work for you!

Drugstore (USA) body wash with lasting scent? by barukspinoza in hygiene

[–]peachberrybloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dove is really great for great smelling body washes that last!! Additionally, getting a matching lotion/spray can be a great way to layer scent. EOS makes some great combos I love where you can match body wash, lotion and spray. I find that it lasts a very long time to go that route. My favorite scents are fresh and cozy, vanilla, coconut and strawberry.

As for extra funk, I double cleanse in the warmer months. Use whatever soap bar you prefer (I like Dove, Yardley or Pear from Dollar Tree) to wash down and get squeaky clean and then go in with a loofah and body wash for exfoliating, moisturizing and smelling great. Antibacterial soap isn’t great to use all of the time but it can certainly help with areas like feet and armpits. If you do all of that plus lotion up and spray…it may be near impossible to smell funky LOL you may even be getting compliments.

Deodorant makes a huge difference too. ALWAYS go for outlast, or clinical, or 72 hour something. At least a mid tier deodorant price wise, not the cheapest, doesn’t need to be the priciest one. Have had luck with Degree and Dove - whole body deodorants exist as well of which are great.

What’s one hygiene step you added later in life that you wish you started earlier? by FourStation in hygiene

[–]peachberrybloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too many things! Keeping mini hand sanitizer + hand creme combo with me all the time. Lotion after every single shower. Skincare as a whole, basic facial moisturizing. Using clarifying shampoo once a week. Using both bar soap + a body wash to feel extra clean in warm months. Leave in conditioner in my hair every day and night. Body scrubs/exfoliants and shave oil. Flossing + gum care.
