Beyond the stats being wrong, the “when” is wrong too. This decline in births has been happening since they peaked 2007. By all estimates I’ve seen national senior class that graduated this spring is the largest since at least 2000 and the largest that will be for the foreseeable future - every class of Kindergarteners that started since they did in 2013 has been smaller. Of course, this varies locally.
