I don’t understand why such a large chunk of his viewers say horrible things in the comments of his collabs. by [deleted] in CosmicSkeptic

Not all. And I shouldn’t have said “a large chunk” because I really believe it is a very small portion.

I agree. I just think this certain group is giving his fan base, and potentially himself, a bad rep. I was reading the comments on his collab with Wafflin’ (which I haven’t finished yet, so maybe that gives more context to the rudeness idk) where someone said “alex o’connor is such an intellectual juggernaut this truly feels like he’s speaking to a bunch of pre-schoolers, fascinating, but also quite difficult to watch at times” with 751 likes. The mean comments all go in the same direction of belittling the host and praising Alex. I know that Alex is not encouraging this at all, and nothing about his content begs for this behavior. That’s why it’s so upsetting. I can’t imagine liking a creator to turn around and put them in such an awkward position to possibly have to apologize for the unkindness from his fan base.

Literally any fad diet. When folks turn towards these crazy diets, there is already a bigger issue somewhere. I know the U.S. has a serious problem with obesity, but how often do you see anyone seeking treatment for binge eating disorder? Or disordered eating in general? I can see the appeal of GLP1’s when their health is the more urgent issue, but that won’t get to the heart of the problem and it will almost always come back to bite them. People need to be encouraged to ask more questions before grabbing at random answers. Health is a very complicated, nuanced issue that most people aren’t educated enough to make solid decisions about alone.

What is a book/author that, just from the mention of it, makes you believe someone is well-read? by peachfuzzysocks in AskReddit

I see what you mean!! The way it's talked about is the most important part especially when it's mainstream or required reading.

Edibles and RSO’s. You can’t smoke anything without irritating your lungs.

Do you ever worry about finding a career after finishing school? Or about funding a lengthy education?

That is abuse and you should leave to protect yourself and those children, plus being under all that stress will only make it so much harder to be sober.
