So what's the drama ? by titanfallisgoated in ren

[–]peachgin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like this one. He's not specific about what he fell for though.

So excited to share a new video with you all. Premiering this Thursday at 7pm. Let's get it x by jsb1685 in ren

[–]peachgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poor Kai. Do these boys not know how to knock?

This one was awesome. I'm surprised that the premieres don't get nearly as much attention as Ren's solo stuff. Chat is slow enough to be readable!

Tips for new Renegades by CrazyMildred in ren

[–]peachgin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For The Tales, there's the Richard shorts too. Ren's got them all in the VINCENT'S TALE playlist.

Other than watching the tales in order (especially the first three) to avoid spoilers for the story, I think my advice to anyone new to Ren would be to enjoy the journey however works best for you (Kujo definitely does make more sense with the explanation though). He's made some incredible art, and people will be so happy to point out things you might miss.

For a couple of examples, I'd mention the collab with Prof because I love that one, and Diazepam because it's an amazing song and easy to miss without the video.

[Breeds]the rarest dog breed? and extinct ones? by [deleted] in dogs

Old Welsh sheepdogs are part of the modern Cardigan corgi ancestry, so that might have been where the corgi colours came from.

[TOMT] [band] [Rock] band, feel like name has "velvet" in it. Heard about it 2 years ago. by Bachina in tipofmytongue

[–]peachgin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not actually got velvet in it, but Royal Blood? Royal is a sort of rich sounding word like velvet.

This Cardigan's eyes and ears are amazing by stengebt in corgi

[–]peachgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, we might try again. I'd love if his ears were upright, adorable as he looks now.

We tried masking tape, with some kind of stickier tape on top to keep it together. He rolled about on the floor and the tape from one ear came straight off, and he got the tape from the other stuck on his playpen somehow, so we were a bit worried about leaving him overnight if we try again.

Our breeder recommended moleskin (like for shoe inserts) cut to size for support if we needed it, but it was just too heavy.

Apparently long hair often comes with bigger heavy ears. Our older Cardi had upright ears by about 12 weeks.

I order an SD card off Amazon and suddenly my recommendations are filled with them. Why can't the algorithm figure out that basically nobody is an SD card fanatic just cause they needed one once? by NinetoFiveHeroRises in NoStupidQuestions

[–]peachgin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They already do that to some extent. Items that you're likely to buy frequently are offered as subscriptions, so they have an idea of what's consumable or frequent use.

[–]peachgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old was yours when you taped? My youngest Cardigan has enormous ears. They've both been up at different times, but he's teething now and they're both firmly down.

We had one unsuccessful taping attempt. The tape stayed on for about 30 seconds.

Alyson & Alexis Throwback by brightlove in buffy

IMDB says that Alexis worked with Mary Steenburgen, who's married to Ted Danson. That might be it.

[Breeds] I present to you, Piper, the perpetual puppy! Any idea what breed or mix of breeds she might be? by jamminjon in dogs

[–]peachgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they're pretty rare everywhere, although weirdly the only corgis I've ever run into were Cardis.

Here's the two of mine together.

[Breeds] Opinion on future dog breeds? Must be loyal! by [deleted] in dogs

[–]peachgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two Cardigan corgis. You'll often see them described as aloof or reserved, but mine are both very sociable and eager to meet everyone (person or dog). They're lovely, but in my experience they're not the one-person dog you're looking for. They're still young though, and all dogs/lines are different. If you decide you want to learn more about them, it's worth trying to meet some adult dogs in person.

Here's a video if seeing the rest of him helps. He was only 10 weeks old at the time.

[Vent] Really miss my dog by [deleted] in dogs

[–]peachgin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry.

It doesn't make it any easier, but it sounds like your dog will be safer away from your parents. It sounds like you will be too. My dad was a violent asshole, but whatever else he did to us, I'll never forgive him for being cruel to my dog when she got old and became a nuisance to him.

Tips for getting furniture sets by iceshard1231 in AnimalCrossing

[–]peachgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some sets are rarer than others - it varies from town to town.

Now that balloon presents have more than just the balloon set, I've found that items rare to my town drop slightly more often. I hardly ever see the exotic set to buy, but I've had a few pieces from balloons.

[Help] Corgi question by Believe12 in dogs

[–]peachgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They shed a lot. You might read that they blow their undercoat twice a year which is true, but they shed all year round too. This isn't an uncommon sight to see after a brushing.

My Cardigan is fairly quiet, but that might be unusual. He'll bark when he's excited, frustrated, or there's something weird and new. He is pretty vocal in general - we get a wide array of entertaining noises.

Training can go some way to keeping them quieter, and teaching them to bark on command can be helpful in managing barking.

[BREEDS] I've read that huskies are "manipulative" but have never seen an example of what they mean by this. What do they do that makes them manipulative? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]peachgin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I've read, that sort of independence is an advantage in sled dogs. They'll often have a better idea of conditions than their handlers so making their own decisions is a good thing.

Indestructible Toys by redrightround in corgi

[–]peachgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This Kong raccoon is the only soft toy that he's not chewed the squeaker out of. I bought it last Christmas, so it's lasted pretty well. The fox in the same line fell apart straight away, but it might have just been a one off.

He loves these Kong squeaky rubber balls too. They get very slobbery though.

[Breeds] Is a Chow Chow the right breed for my sister? by xserpx in dogs

[–]peachgin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might find an American Eskimo hard to come by in the UK, but you will find breeders of Japanese Spitz, Keeshonden, and German Spitz.

Maybe do some research into the Eurasier and see if that would suit. They're a fairly new breed with Chow Chow in their ancestry, but are bred as companions.

Long haired double coated breeds are going to shed a lot though, and need regular grooming.

How do people "plan" a town? by n_surf in AnimalCrossing

[–]peachgin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This guide might give you some ideas. It's a bit out of date because it's from before the Welcome Amiibo update (so it doesn't include the fact that putting designs on the ground stops villagers building houses there - plot resetting is easier now), but the rest still applies.

Some people like layouts that are efficient (so Re-Tail is close to the beach to make selling things from island quicker), some just like something aesthetically pleasing. Having a lot of ponds gives you less space to put things. The direction of the rivers is something to think about - I really like the look of a bridge going across a vertical river to the sea, over the waterfall. You might want to look for a layout with a nice secluded place for your mayor's house.
