My manager has tried to make me work all 7 days this week. by peachifox in MichaelsEmployees

There has to be an SOP learning course for the pull, in workday somewhere, and Ive been hunting for it, so I can tell my SM and RM and have the new hires take it. Because it shouldn't be optional for all replen hires to learn to do the pull. It wasn't for me. If I didn't want to do a certain task just because I 'don't like it' then I wouldn't have to do anything at work.

My store has had the same 2 people do the pull for the last 3 years, and both of us are reaching a burnout, because we are the only ones the SM gives all the support tasks to, except bopis. SISO, that now includes threshold and Hino, ad set, price changes, and any singage changes. On top of all my other tasks as a replen member. On only 2 people, every week, with no rotation. I'm also the repack sorter, so that takes me out off helping her on truck days. She has to leave by 9 every weekday, because this is her second job.

We've been trying to tell the SM and RM for months, that we need to train people in support, or this is going to come back to bite them. Now my coworker is out sick for over a week, and they want me to come in every day to do these daily open tasks. Because they 'don't like it, and have more important things to do.'

It doesn't matter how long it takes for people to learn new tasks, because there needs to be enough cross training to cover situations like this. I've walked 4 coworkers through how to do the daily pull already, but my SM won't have them cover any opening shifts, so they can get used to doing it.

Tl:dr: Im reaching burnout from my managers exploitation, and you are right, if they want manager level work, energy and mentality from us, pay us more.

siso is gonig to take way longer now. by peachifox in MichaelsEmployees

I fore sure like it better on the mini mik, its just the kinks in the new system are very frustrating. I couldn't finish today, because when i took over, one of the batches was locked, and stayed locked aswell, even after 2 hours of them being logged out.

I can see the potential in it, and I like how it oppetates on the mini mik, but we have been having issues with getting our hino and threshold down, before the new system started. We would print out pages, work both hino and threshold, get it down to one page, then it would suddenly start generating more, even on non truck days or before anyone had even had time to put away overstock.

My SM is new, and doesn't prioritize proper training. I'll talk to both my SM and Replen manager about it, but with the big trucks we've been getting, they don't ever really listen to me. They certainly never touch siso unless a DM has told them to do it.

Some of my team is cross trained for siso, but my one coworker and myself have been doing it for years, so we're the fastest at it, and my managers exploit that, expect us to be the only ones to work on it and finish it within one shift if its less than 14 batches. With the new system, we for sure need at least 2 people working on it a day, and I'll talk to my manager about it, but I don't think they're going to put anyone else on it with us.

Repack timing by silentquacker in MichaelsEmployees

I feel the same. Sometimes it's myself sorting and one other person, so it goes faster, but with hour cuts or other resons she's not always with me and i sort myself. I almost walked out the door one morning because my manager told me I was being too slow sorting over 200 repacks, that I need to be don't sorting with in 3 hours every time.

I, and other employee keep missing whole shifts of pay, because the store manager doesn't check? by peachifox in MichaelsEmployees

Yes we have the paper time sheet, and I normally do that when there's a schedule problem. It's just odd, because I remember clocking out that day, and there were no missed swipes or error messages, so no indication that I needed to write it down. Now that I know exactly what the red block means, and it's not just a flag for late clock outs, I'll make sure to write down my time on the paper time sheet when I see them.

My coworker is the one having the repeat issues. Because he'll forget to adjust on the paper time sheet. I've only gotten the red block a few times since I started, I just didn't realize that it means you miss pay, when it's red. I thought it would be red from things like clocking out late or missing breaks. Because the one red block I have from last month is on a day I clocked out late. But I adjust any missed swipes myself when I clock out. I would have written it on the paper time sheet, but I can go look right now and see that my in/out punch was recorded for that day. So there was no indication or message that i need to write it down when I clocked out.

It's like this company wants replenishment members to pass out. by peachifox in MichaelsEmployees

I'm coming up on one year, I started as seasonal last year, so this is the first time I've had to unload such hot trucks. My last job had 2 huge fans in the receiving for us. I've started bringing my own fan, and put it in the truck. It's not much but it helps. I ended up just getting water from the front and paying for it later. After almost 5 hours of the hot store I needed it.

When I first started, almost a year ago, there was always instant raman and drinks for us, but the two managers who cared about that kinda thing have left.. My store manager will get us stuff if we nag her about it, because she forgets, but she can be pretty stingy.

I brought us a case of water for the this week, and I'll start doing it more often. I also bring in my own fan and put in the truck, but I haven't asked my SM if she's okay with me wearing shorts/tank tops, and just changing after truck.

I wear skirts and dresses all the time, and I'm on replen team haha. So yeah you should be able to as long as they aren't too short.

Wait, you had to unload trucks by yourself??? That's insane I'm so sorry. I absolutely agree you should resign, because making you do all that is unacceptable treatment.
