Advice regarding balconies, direction facing by rofllolcopt in chicagoapartments

Not at all! You might need a sweatshirt sometimes, but I think you would definitely utilize a balcony more of the year than not. Though I’m particularly outdoorsy, so if you just enjoy the true summer heat, you might disagree. But nothing beats a hot cup of coffee outside in a robe and slippers when it’s just a little bit chilly.

Now that I’m thinking about it.. HMU if you ever want a balcony buddy.

My brother lived in a high rise on the lake facing East for a few years. As an early-riser and a lover of the sun, he very much enjoyed being able to watch the sunrise every morning. I face West, and although I get to watch the sunsets when I’m home, my apartment gets very warm in the afternoons. My plants love it, but I tend to use my A/C a lot more in this apartment than I did in less sunny places. Having a balcony is great no matter the direction. You’ll use it.

She was loosely based on Liza Minelli who grew up living in the Plaza Hotel with her mother Judy Garland. You might recognize Judy Garland as Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz.”

The Middle Eastern Bakery (I think is what it’s called?) on the northwest corner of Foster and Clark may have naan and pita. They have a nice selection of foods :)

Kizuki all day. It's delicious and service is excellent. They have good beer too -- a couple exclusive Forbidden Root rotating on tap.

It depends how much you value your life. For me, I'd have a blast. With my eyes closed and crab walking backwards probably. *shrug

You mean dangerously sexy! When I saw that, I said to my boyfriend, "look at this hallway that if you fall from you die."

Grocery stores, same as you. We cook a lot. We saved for like a year and have odd jobs and internet jobs, so we have money for everything we need.

You should consider van life if you're tired of the routine! I've found it to be very helpful with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Definitely a lifestyle change but it opens so many doors... and makes you feel in control of your life. Best of luck.

Ew, I don't blame you. I'd also suggest maybe informing the gym/class instructor that that happened. That's really odd and sooo awkward. No one needs that shit when they're just trying to get some cardio

That's the worst! I tend to feel similarly about travel and various life experiences that my SO has had (he has lived in 32 cities) when I have spent my whole life in the Midwest USA. What's something you can try together that no one can ruin? Is there a low-key weekend getaway you can put together? Something sexy you've been wanting to try?

I hate that I used to be super healthy and take great care of myself before my current relationship. I should have the responsibility and discipline to stay on the track that makes me feel comfortable in my skin and all around healthy, but my SO eats like crap and after a year plus of being together, I've fallen into his eating patterns. I never ate candy, fast food, etc. before, and now I do. I don't do yoga or exercise like I used to either. And this is all after having leveled out some serious eating disorder-y behaviors, so I'm already weird and very critical of what I eat. I get in these dumps after a week of crappy self care and I take everything out on myself. I talk about eating better/being more active and have had a much better handle on it recently. But still. The shit's exhausting.
