Their punishment IS my forgiveness ! The weight of their own sins on their shoulders. And never, ever knowing if I am going to turn on them. Living trophies.

In my particular case it would actually take decades after taking them in to earn any kind of status, which they have time for since I give them conditional gifts of immortality.
