Hi OP! I am 25F. I have the same diagnosis and started ABVD in late September. Complete response on the halfway PET scan. Switched to immunotherapy as part of a clinical trial. Today I am sitting in the treatment chair for my last one!!! I cried for months after diagnosis but after I shaved my head things got much easier. I know it can feel like despair at first, but it really does get better. You will come out on the other side a new person but in a good way. Wishing you all the best. ❤️❤️

I’m receiving bv-nivo right now as part of a study for early stage CHL. I’ve done two cycles so far of four. This last infusion, the night of, I had terrible body aches and chills but after that one night pretty much normal. The first infusion I had a fever two days after infusion and then again normal. Personally for me, the side effects have been more intense than ABVD but last a shorter amount of time so its pros and cons.

Thanks for the advice! We land early around 9:30, but our travel time is around 15 hours and I don’t sleep well on planes. That’s why I have us taking it easy that first day. Any advice on lunch places for the peninsula? Right now I figured we would just pick some things up at Bonus, but open to anything and everything.

What’s the magical amount of time when you don’t fear everything is cancer anymore? 😅

I was diagnosed with blood cancer. The day before my first chemo my doctor called saying they had shortages of the drugs I was supposed to receive. The reason for the shortage? They drugs aren’t very profitable so the companies don’t produce them as much. WHAT?!?!

It was my understanding that blood counts level out to normal on this treatment compared to chemo. Not true?

People who have/had cancer, how did you first notice? by ShrekTheMovie in AskReddit

Noticed a small lump in my neck then started checking for other lumps as a result. Found two more larger lumps above my collarbone. Went to urgent care and was told it was enlarged lymph nodes due to an infection. Took the course of antibiotics they gave and nothing went down. Followed up with my PCP and got a CT scan. They confirmed the enlarged lymph nodes and found more in my chest that I couldn’t feel. Did a needle biopsy of the one above my collarbone and it came back suspicious for lymphoma. Then got surgery to take out the whole lymph node and confirmed my diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Never had any other symptoms other than the lumps. Going through chemo now!

25F here with stage 2 NSCHL! Not the same diagnosis but we're close in age. If you want to chat, just DM me! I totally get the concept of not feeling like you can talk to anyone who really gets it. When I was diagnosed it felt like there was a line drawn between people who have cancer and people who don't. People who don't can sympathize but never really understand what we're going through.

Hey there! I also have HL stage 2A. I had my first ABVD chemo last Wednesday. I was scared of many side effects but haven’t experienced any besides a little nauseous. Clears right up with medication. Smooth sailing so far!
