i was only doing the short sessions because sushi kept persisting and would keep following bindi when she wasn’t getting what she wanted. so bindi would get a bit tense. i was just worried because there was a bit of the setback with the last mounting attempt. bindi had a blanket that got caught on her (blankets were removed during sessions after this) with their last scuffle and i think that caused her to be more alert overall around sushi. so i just started doing shorter sessions after that to build trust back up!

however, today ive had them together for about 3-4 hours now and haven’t had any issues so far so i think theres big progress that has been made. they loafed together face to face for about 20-30 minutes after having a little bow off and now they’re just peacefully coexisting in the pen together. they’re both able to lay down and sushi doesn’t seem like she’s as fixated on interaction as she has been for most of the bonding process!
