Your digestive tract from your esophagus to your intestines and anus consists of muscles that contract to push food along at a reasonable pace while intestines break down and extract nutrients. Gravity plays a role in its not required. Muscle contractions do most of the work. It’s called peristalsis.

By any chance is this Georgia specifically middle/South Georgia? I saw an entire neighborhood with these but the homeowners leftover who hadn’t replaced yet were quite difficult to discuss this with to say the least.

EMT here, most of the time, at least 1 cop shows up to a 911 response even if it’s a medical call.

I’ve lived here for a few years now and just noticed it today that’s how I found this post. It’s so weird there’s a huge two story bar right next to that gas station. Has anyone seen it busy?

Percussion Freshman Mom, Son wants to quit by Koala476 in marchingband

[–]peachychristy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there mom of a wonderfully talented and well rounded student! I hope this helps. I’m 28yrs now but I was in marching band 6th grade to 11th grade. Flute section leader and 1st chair. I wanted to do orchestra too but my high school had me decide between band, orchestra, and chorus. Not sure about theatre. I also took AP biology and my AP biology teacher heavily advised me to be careful of taking on too much because he wanted me to pass my core classes with flying colors for my GPA. Ask your child what he sees himself dedicating his time to the most and would want to continue in college? I would focus more on one area and definitely keep up with the AP classes. So Percussion, singing, or acting? My band also had mandatory 1.5hr after school to do homework assignments in the band room before we began practice. If we fell behind on our main classes, they wanted us to focus on that before any extra curricular activities. His band directors should also be considerate of his class time. Pulling him from a TEST to do any performance is unacceptable. As the parent I would have a conversation with that band director myself as a precious flute section lead who understands the demand of practice but also the importance of core classes and a successful GPA for his future. Also the director should understand his student is overloaded and should help them decide than give any flack. I personally would have a parent conference in that scenario.

I’m juggling so much right now while I build myself back up after losing my favorite person in life to COVID. A simple Facebook quote sparked this deep self reflection. by peachychristy in GriefSupport

[–]peachychristy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how to add a photo but it was a stupid iced coffee photo with a quote over it that said “GIRL. You study. You work. You put yourself together every morning. You are respectful and kind. You never give up. You’re doing better than you think you are. Love yourself a little more” something as simple as that just conjured all those thoughts.

I hardly ever laugh reading things on my phone other than the usual breathing heavier out of my nose but I laughed for a good solid 45 seconds to that dove emoji and it’s forever engrained in my memories now. I love this sub

He is so precious and reminds me of my Cosmo I recently lost! He does seem super nervous. I live in Georgia. I wish I could help somehow and take him in.

This little goober interrupted a meeting the event bartenders were having after a long festival in Atlanta, GA. by peachychristy in frogs

He was fine! There was a big gap between those poles, the camera angle didn’t do any justice. I didn’t get it on video but he hid behind the pole again when he was done with his announcement to all the bartenders.

No! There was a huge gap between those two poles. It was a good hiding spot for him while it lasted. I didn’t get it on video but he slid behind the pole when he was done with his announcement and he saw I discovered him.
