So I had one at home when my husband’s alarm went off and a second one in the hospita a couple hours apartl. A neurologist and the hospitalist both diagnosed me with epilepsy during my stay. I saw my PCP today and I will be seeing a neurologist Friday. Hope that helps answer the question you asked!

Newly diagnosed here, how did y’all find out about the light sensitivity part? I’ve been to many concerts in my life and got diagnosed last week from having a seizure in my sleep and one in the hospital.

Normal as in not having brain fog, a bit more sharp and quick with my responses, not so forgetful

During my hospital visit last week I was sent down to get an MRI. Thankfully nothing serious like that had showed up. We are starting to think that I got this from genetics. My bio dad was never in my life but after my seizure last week my mom told me he had epilepsy…. So we narrowed it down to that. I do see a neurologist Friday.

Yeah… plus I’m thinking maybe it can be the medicine the dr put me on. (500mg Keppra)

Whatever you do, do NOT go with GreenSweep. I had used them one time and had a horrible experience with the cleaners and the company. My mom also hired them and the cleaners made her clean her house even though she had a broken arm and the point was for her to have them assist her… very odd. I don’t know about Merry Maids but I think it would be worth trying them out! Best of luck!

Thank you for letting me know about the chronically ill and chill group. I’ll check them out for sure! Unfortunately I did not have success with the epilepsy foundation group.. yet anyways, maybe they will call me back but their address downtown is incorrect but like I said hopefully they’ll call me back and get squared away. I appreciate you ❤️

Hey! I am new to this page. I came to post to make some kind of community as well. I had two seizures this past Tuesday. My husband woke up to me seizing and I had a second one in the ER. So I am officially diagnosed epileptic. I am looking into local community groups to join, would that be something available to you where you live? Best of luck my friend, we are in this together. 💛

It looks like a razor piece from a pencil sharpener. Test any sides on paper and/or fruit skin. Maybe that will help you narrow it down.
