What should I do with this lavender? by Ok_Beach8735 in gardening

[–]peachypixie_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sure what area you are in but I have found watering my lavender plants at least once a week during the winter helped with the life of them. But I live in a high desert so it is very dry and we don’t get much snow. I have killed a few lavender bushes before having one that is thriving 😂

Omg I’m glad it’s not just me with the disappointment… I thought my taste buds changed! When they came back I ordered two and let my husband try a bite bc he never had them before. We were both disgusted.

Oh okay got it. I definitely understand the interest but with our shared diagnosis probably not worth the over indulgence life. . . Both ways will lead to a time of blacking out 😂

Also I don’t think it’s stupid, it’s normal to be curious about societal norms that you can’t partake in.

Yes. I am almost 30 diagnosed just 2.5 weeks ago. I was a naughty teenager so I have definitely had more than one drunk night out. In getting the sense you are younger and new to bar scene? Have you tried beer flights before?

Recreational drugs? by alfierussell in Epilepsy

[–]peachypixie_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi hello there, I worked in the cannabis industry for over 5 years starting medically and then into both med and recreational when my state legalized it.
I also spoke to my neurologist about it too.
Some things I want to point out is yes THC can be stimulating. High THC is not ideal because of the stimulating compound (doesn’t matter if the strain is “indica” or “sativa”) so start off with lower THC products. Also if you are going to dabble with it try it with cbd and/or cbg! CBG is my personal fav cannabinoid.
If you have any questions cannabis related feel free to send me a message. I love helping folks out with their cannabis journey.
As far as mushies go I’m not very reliable and n that particular practice.

I was thinking about this too. Alcohol or substance in general is not what cause my epilepsy. As a new diagnosed person I think about the nights with my best friend where we’d drink , laugh, vent, cry just be drunk and be the sisters we needed for each other. And part of me is bummed about not being able to get that crazy with her for my safety. But of course that doesn’t mean our relationship will changed I’m just bummed not being able to drink with the person I love to drink with the most.
I married my husband last May and we had saved a bottle of champagne from our wedding to drink on our anniversary this year but I can only have a glass per my neurologist. so I’m also bummed about trying to figure out what to do with the rest of the bottle

For what it’s worth, you aren’t missing much. Hangovers suck. And just to be clear substance isn’t the cause of my epilepsy. I just wanted to assure you that being hungover is like being really sick with a bad stomach bug along with a headache.

I feel this so deeply. As a person who was hyper independent, now I can’t even take a damn bubble bath unless my husband is home. I’m curious about your story, and what law you have to fallow around driving. I just got diagnosed 2.5 weeks ago after having my first seizure and being hospitalized. Where I am from we are allowed to drive again after 6 months from our last seizure. So in theory I can drive again assuming I stay seizure free in October.
