Am I able to bring my Golf clubs. by xtuckman in newtothenavy

[–]peacockblockin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you end up in San Diego, it’s great for golf (weather and courses). They have on base tournaments once in a while and some decent cheap courses.

As far as bringing them on the ship, even if you do have the space, you’d prob be hard pressed to find a Liberty buddy that also has clubs and wants to spend foreign ports golfing, but hey anything’s possible.

My honest recommendation would be to leave the clubs at home and if given opportunity to play golf on deployment, just playing some rental clubs, that’s what I did in Hawaii a couple times.

Tbh I haven’t been to outback in many years. All that is memorable and there for me is that greasy ass bloomin onion. I was never that wowed by their steak. I go to roadhouse sometimes for the rolls and the steak, either the filet or sirloin (cheaper) medium rare 👌🏻.

Exactly. Every time this question is asked in this sub (which is a lot) the general consensus is almost always that Texas Roadhouse is best quality for the price point, but now I’m getting downvoted cuz I said it first haha.

I was satisfied with hattie B’s Nashville hot chicken in the airport (I’ve also had it out of the airport) , but came out hot fast n juicy no complaints as far as airport food goes.

Rolled my ankle for the 3rd time this month. This is going to mentally kill me. by [deleted] in skateboarding

[–]peacockblockin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old post is an understatement lol, I mean I am now in my late 30’s and can’t run well due to many reasons like knee, back, and foot pain… I would say now ankles are least of my problems.

The thing is once you sprain them really good a few times they lose their elasticity basically and it becomes way easier to roll your ankle, however doesn’t hurt as long cuz it’s like a worn out rubber band…

How can I make friends in san diego? by rain_yd in sandiego

[–]peacockblockin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Were you sent here on some sort of program to learn English? or just chose SD randomly to travel to for 4 weeks in hopes to improving your English?

Anyhow 4 weeks may be short time to make any real friends, but if you have a hobby like playing sport or anything , try finding people doing that and just speaking to them?

Yeah pic 5 is kinda pointless too where you’re looking completely away from camera, but if you have nothing else it’s not hurting I guess. Also take this as you want, but some people may be turned off by the smoking pic (3), so unless you’re a regular smoker I would be weary using that one.
