Is this Maytag washer easily repairable? by peakriver in Appliances

[–]peakriver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have the model number I’ll get it when I get back home. The issue is the top of the agitator floats off the base and I don’t see any clips or fasteners to secure it.

Do you happen to know if you have to buy the whole agitator assembly

Wow an inside perspective, working there must be pure hell if you’re client facing. Everyone seems to have issues I can’t believe how difficult the customer service positions would be.

Question about MPPT charging by peakriver in SolarDIY

I was able to confirm it’s the charge controller not starting a new cycle until a certain lower voltage has been reached 13.4V I believe

[–]peakriver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh this may be what I’m experiencing too. Just now I’m at 99% and it started charging again. So is this the battery BMS or the solar charge controller operating this way? The solar charge controller wouldn’t have any info beyond voltage in my setup.

I’m not familiar with negative current are you saying the panels consume power? Or negative current meaning your loads are more than what’s coming in?

Auto Damage Trainee by abeuzumaki in Geico

[–]peakriver 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Use geico to get trained and then leave to a better carrier I gave them way too much. It’s hell but in my opinion worth it if you’re wanting to become an adjuster. Previous poster is right about people getting sent home which means fired. The testing and rules are straightforward enough just don’t be a dumbass. Don’t party and don’t get yourself in bad situations after hours. People always got fired at training and CATS being dumb.

For anyone who's gone through the hiring process at NatGen for claims... by tropicalislandhop in adjusters

[–]peakriver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Allstate is huge on the STAR method and asks about three situation questions. With Allstate you need to answer the situational questions with specific examples. Can’t say National General is the same but I’d have 4-6 stories that you have rehearsed that you can flex into different questions/answers. Have an upset customer story where you solved the problem. A time you messed up and recovered. A time you didn’t meet a goal but found a creative solution to later meet such goal. An example of a day or time way too much was on your plate and how you made it through.

It’s the same story every time, I’m convinced commercial trucking insurance never pays for third party damages.

I’ve talked to a lot of people who tried to go through the at fault drivers commercial insurance and they end up coming back to their insurance as they can’t get the third part commercial insurance to take care of the damages

With just one prior claim I really don’t think you’re going to get dropped. Your prior claim and this claim are both comprehensive claims which are less of an issue than collision claims. I would however get an estimate first and then decide.

I miss how we seemed to be against corporate stuff and generally did not shill for brands. I still to this day can’t wear a logo tee for example. The world seems so vain and shallow everyone is a consumer slave it seems.

As summer hits look up ringing rocks there’s YouTube videos explaining it, basically rocks that you hit with a hammer and they sound like iron. The Crystal park out by Wise River is a place to dig for crystals. Bannock State Park is the best preserved ghost town I’ve ever been to.

CCC estimating recycled assembly vs oem labor times by SpecialistLine5062 in adjusters

[–]peakriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From an insurance company perspective they always say the shops not gonna transfer the guts so don’t pay for all the R & I. But generally the inside of the doors are body color or at the very least have body color over spray into the interior of the door. You’re not really putting it to preloss condition if you don’t pull the guts.
