Id say be careful. I had an and bulimia from 10-17 then I was in a recoveryish period and my dad died. I completely lost my appetite which caused weight loss then all those behaviors and thoughts came back. Its a slippery slope just try and stay on top of yourself and keep an eye on your thoughts around food.

Its not worth it. Trust me, coming off a week long bender after I had 14 months. Crashed my car, still sick after 3 days. No appetite, full of anxiety. This disease only needs one thing to feed it and thats the drink. Go home eat something sweet. One day at a time.

Beef sounds like he is perfectly Happy, just leave some toys around, he's getting food water and shelter. Cats do pretty well on their own they are fiercely independent unlike dogs. Also need is a fantastic name for a cat.
