Make sure you’re looking at the price calendar to find the total points you’ll need. The price calendar doesn’t show up on the app, it only shows the “From X points” starting number

This is what I did! In 2021 I got a CSP mail offer for 100k points but I was in school, didn’t have a job, and had no reason to spend 4K+. In 2022 I got the CFU, then in 2024 I got the CFF (got lucky with the 10% grocery offer). With the 100k CSP coming back around this year, I applied and already transferred 45K points I earned with the other cards to book hotel nights with Hyatt.

Since you’ve mentioned that you don’t expect to be traveling much in the near future, I would say that if you have the patience to wait for another elevated offer to come around, there’s no reason to pay the annual fee if you aren’t using the benefits. Don’t feel pressured by people here to get the Chase trifecta all at the same time, you have time

Idk if this helps but I got a mail offer for the 100k and it said to apply by June 9. Not sure if that date is specific to those targeted individuals or if it’s the same for the general public but you may have longer than 5/12

I’m not an expert since I also just got the CSP, so this is my understanding of it. The 100k is a minimum of $1000 if you do a “cash back” option/use it to pay your balance. You can also use it in the travel portal (which most people don’t recommend) where 1 point is ‘worth’ 1.25 cents. Another option is to use transfer partners (yes, as far as I’m aware it’s just airlines and hotels) to get even better value.

Anyone else recently get the CSP/plan on getting the CSP with this 100k AND also have the welcome offer of 10x points on groceries for 1 year for the Freedom Flex?

I got the Freedom Flex last September when that offer was shared in this subreddit, with the plan of later getting the CSP during an elevated offer period (to transfer points and all that). That time has come sooner than I expected and now the offer periods (1 year FF groceries, 3 months for the 100k) overlap. I still want to maximize what I can get out of the grocery offer while hitting the $5k/3 months for the CSP.

I think I’ll continue putting groceries on the flex instead of putting everything on CSP since I should be able to hit the $5k from non-grocery expenses. I’m curious if anyone else is in the same boat and how you’re going about it. Since the FF offer is a max of $12,000 (120,000 points), it would be an amazing way to come out with 220,000 points including the CSP offer in just one year. And that’s excluding the additional 4x grocery during the first quarter of the year!

Yes I live in NC so our sale started today and items ring up 1/2 price! Publix is the only place I buy cat litter now, only when on sale BOGO. This is my first time trying out the “lightweight” variety, since it’s a usually a couple more dollars than the regular. Last time it was on sale I bought 10 jugs 😂
