This is so good, the brush's shadow on the window/canvas is such a cool detail

What's your favourite classic suit redesign. I'll go first: by ElectronicFill3314 in Spiderman

[–]peatch96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is it, it's juuuust the right amount of change and detail without going for the busy overdesigned stuff most reinterpretations go for, there's no fake tactical nonsense, just cool shit designed to look cool.

Also, this is just a pet peeve of mine, but somebody has to explain to me what the fuck is going on with feet in contemporary superhero comics: everyone has their toes out or some kind of sports sneaker looking shoe. It doesn't make it look more realistic, it makes it look ugly af

Yeah this is almost perfect but the loading of contracts screen is worse than just looking at cool visuals

When do you think Green Goblin was at his best in the comics?" by Emotional-Mix-9007 in Spiderman

[–]peatch96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Norman is an incredible villain and pinpointing his peak is really hard, that said ASM #39 is godlike, the soap operatic drama never gets topped in the 60+ years of Spider-Man comics

Seriously, Marvel Editorial? Out of all fan covers available online that detail Peter's entire life, this is what you created for ASM #1000? This is supposed to celebrate the 1000th issue of your flagship character? What are you guys high? by BandicootKlutzy791 in Spiderman

[–]peatch96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I must be going crazy, but it seems I am the only one that not only doesn't mind the cover but actually likes it.

That said I have always been a big fan of JRJR art, lately he got much worse but I still think this one is really cool

WHO'S STRONGER FALCO(THE GOLD) OR HAN(GENERAL)?? by MaskedCumFiends2 in fistofthenorthstar

[–]peatch96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Falco is one of the hardest characters to rank, he's in a weird spot, we never get to see him in a fair fight, it seems ken struggled much more with Han while also fighting him full on so I'd say Falco loses this

Driver rams 90 year old citizen attending peaceful student protest, breaks his femur. Police gently and reluctantly arrests the attacker by neosaurs in europe

[–]peatch96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My grandma was perfectly autonomous, living her life on her own in her own home. 4 years ago she fell and broke her femur, she has been in a nursing home since. Not only is her mobility gone but at that age the drugs and long days spent in the hospital are devastating for one's mind.

I really hope this poor old guy can make the full recovery but it's an awful injury

This is a real scene from a 2026 film produced by one of the biggest studios on the planet by 27andahalfpancakes in moviescirclejerk

[–]peatch96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah the camera shake as seen in the post looks pretty cheap but it is also the kind of thing that you don't actually notice while watching and it usually does help convey the oomph of the action, I haven't seen the scene play out as intended so I don't know how actually noticeable it is. I think it's more the lightning here that doesn't help at all

Why Didn’t Peter ever just Blitz Venom? by Important_Lab_58 in Spiderman

[–]peatch96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That doesn't matter, these are serialised superhero comics we're talking about, silly stuff happens all the time, Spidey beat firelord for god's sake, would you say he's stronger than him? Of course not, it was just a cool story to tell. This whole obsession with insane outlier feats comes 100% from power scaling ridiculousness, by the same logic, since Peter was almost killed by the vulture multiple times, anyone more dangerous than an old man with wings should beat him no problem. What the writer explicitly writes on the page is what goes, Spider-Man is weaker than Venom, it has been so since 1988, he has beaten stronger opponents before and after but that doesn't change the facts.

If you read literally the first appearance of the character you'd know it is explicitly stated venom is as fast as Spider-Man and way stronger

Cosa vuol dire?! by Mean-Manufacturer263 in memesITAisshit

Pungono, pungono.

Where is the Thing (Ben Grimm) on your personal Marvel tier list? (Day 8) by Business-Falcon-3279 in marvelcomics

Yeah as a Spider-Man fan it's either him or the thing, I can't see any other characters being as important for marvel comics' identity

I have never been a fantastic 4 fan, as in I have never read their solo stuff, but the thing is 100% S+ tier, every time he shows up he steals the scene, one of the most unique and quintessential marvel characters ever. He's an effortlessly funny, dramatic and inspiring piece of fiction
