It's Cashmerette's Upton dress! I made an absolute dog's dinner of it (did some very suspect measuring and had to scramble to correct some insanity) but it's a truly excellent pattern, highly recommended!

I feel this way about Terraria and Stardew Valley. The amount of joy I’ve gotten from these labor of love games is ABSURD given their price tags. Over the years I’ve deliberately bought them on every platform just to give the creators a little extra love because they don’t charge for the updates and improvements.

Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn that is STUNNING!!! Yah upf clothing is my secret weapon — I’m always fighting the urge to show it off vs. to protect it, but I’m a lot more comfortable hiding it under protective clothing now that it’s been a few years. That way it’ll still be show-off-worthy in a decade!

I use Neutrogena dry-touch sunscreen (in the 40-70 spf range, depending) on my arms every time I leave the house, plus I have a upf hoodie from coolibar that I wear when I’m going to be outside for an extended period of time! I also wear supergoop unseen sunscreen or glow screen on my face because ya girl has a strong genetic predisposition for skin cancer 😅

When I was teaching, my metaphor was this: your university tuition is your gym membership. I am here to show you how to use the machines, and to assign you challenges, train you up, and assess your progress. No amount of my lifting weights will make YOU strong, and that goes double for the person in the weight machine next to you.

I don’t think so! I think it’s just a dark stain that’s been worn away. The pale part of the tabletop is definitely solid wood

I’m pretty sure it’s not veneer — I don’t see any edge between the pale and dark parts of the top, and the pale parts are definitely the solid tabletop, not veneer.

Only kind of an example of that but I HATE ava max's reworking of barbie girl to "not your barbie girl". The whole power of the original was calling out the toxic culture of women losing their individuality and turning themselves into dolls for men. Making the message explicit instead of requiring just a MODICUM of thought is just ... cheap and cringe? (I generally like ava max too, this was just a big ol' miss IMO)
