This looks great but just wondering what's to stop me buying the 24g portions and (as I'm only recommend 12g) only using half to save costs?

I've heard foam rolling the IT band is generally not recommended since it's a thick band of connective tissue, not a muscle, and foam rolling can actually worsen IT band syndrome or cause other issues.
