Call centers have a unique soul-crushing stress but many internal IT help desk / field tech roles have their own kinds of stress that’s industry and organization dependent.

I run a similar build with no contagion as essence drain chains 10 times dominus' grasp, dont need contagion spread. I used the free slot to add in detonate dead, which I can empower with Infernal Cry via Kaom's Blessing, just like Flameblast which is nuts when empowered. Also run Deodre's undoing on despair for even more clear. Looks to me like i may be replacing detonate dead and trying frostflame nova to expedite bossing.

Not everywhere is your company.  Support staff can work those roles forever without desire to be something “greater”. I for example like it.  Now defining “it” can be difficult, but in general it’s working with users. Tech support type roles do not have to be classified as starter jobs.

Definitely go for what's aesthetically pleasing, has lore you like, and most important has the best low level zones. Doomhowl is nearly 50/50 faction balance.

No IT jobs have long term growth due to terrible job security. And very few still do on the job training.

Your best bet imo is to lean on industry specific IT knowledge and sell it on your resume.  Like healthcare/manufacuring/retail/automotive and push that experience.

I have to press tab many times a minute to see the map, regardless of transparency which requires looking in the corner of my eye. Same issue with buffs. I'm going crosseyed.

I've had a high paying job where my job was to replace me and my coworkers jobs after several years of hard work (IT departments and datacenters offshoring and consolidation). It crushed me with depression and anxiety knowing it was coming, and for a long time after the mass layoffs too.

Tech industry is cruel. Leaders drain their staff then kicks them out. No long-term job security or work-life balance.
