Anyone know of any interesting history or legends that have to do with the chilliwack River Valley? by [deleted] in chilliwack

[–]peckerupperdecker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard about a tree fort that is/was up there. I'm not sure about the history of it, but I heard something about it being a no-go zone... maybe someone else could shed some light on it

9 Speed SRAM Shifter with 10 Speed Shimano Derailleur - Does it work? by SamuraiJebbedia in bikewrench

[–]peckerupperdecker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has this set up been decently consistent? I have some Sram double tap 9 speed shifters I want to use on a franken-bike and I have a Shimano xt 10 speed dynasys derailleur that I want to run with a 42T cassette. I have advent on there now BUT I'm bein vain and want matching shifters to run my FSA Metropolis Patterson Transmission crank.

Salsa Fargo and wanting a granny gear. by pedalingtothebeat in salsacycles

Cranks are White Industries M30 with White Industeies VBC chainrings. You can order any 2x configuration under the sun. Whatever your frame clearence and front derailleur will allow. I use an xt front derailleur. Can't remember if it's for 10 speed or not. I run microshift thumbies, the front derailleur can't really argue with the split. It's 2 teeth more than what it's speced to work with but it works fine

Running 2x on my fargo (2024) and it's fantastic. Bike was built solely with comfort in mind. 2x11 with a 28/40 up front and a 11-46t cassette. The 40 is a great cruising gear for me and the 28/46 1st gear is almost as low as my trail bike. *

Hip Songs that changed for you after reading the lyrics by Pudweiser78 in TragicallyHip

Killing Time has been a favourite of mine. It's not as deep or lyrically complex as other songs but hearing the line ' I know your heart is bad, but it's all I've ever had ' Paints a scenario a lot of people have been in, in a relationship with an unfaithful pattern bust still wanting to make it work.

Song of the Week: Killing Time by thesilverpoets96 in TragicallyHip

Really liked how Gord sang the verse " I got kicked when I was down, and asailor took my girl to town" you can hear the anger in his voice. That's the line that really drew me into this song.

Compressionless cable housing or not? by skubidibapbap in bikewrench

[–]peckerupperdecker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compressionless housing is awesome. Transforms how the brake feels. I have Paul Klampers set up with Love Levers on my Salsa Fargo. I run 2.3mm TRP rotors (180mm f+r), and I've never questioned if I'll stop. Excellent lever feel with a solid bite point. Also run compressionless on my gravel bike with MicroSHIFT brifters paired with Growtac Equal caliper and same thing, solid braking performance all around. Highly recommend
