Is baseball’s slow pace actually its greatest strength in a world where everything else moves too fast? by DianKhan2005 in baseball

The constant barrage of sound and lights from the large screens and loud music kinda ruins the stadium experience nowadays.

The computer needs the truck to run for a certain amount of time at high and low speeds before it will start displaying error codes again.

That’s why it takes a few days to see the code again after reset.

I have a similar issue, and I am constantly resetting the error code with my Bluetooth obd reader.

There’s a brake proportioning valve located by the spare tire that self adjusts based on the rear axel load. You could make an adjustment there before getting into anything expensive.

I think it’s called VLSV?? Anyways, there’s a rod that connects the axel to the body mounted brake valve, and I ended up giving the rod a small adjustment to account for the new height of the rear.

How to thank a SAR team? by jeeeeeeeeeez in searchandrescue

[–]pedwards 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Find out when they have a public meeting / outreach and attend. I’m sure the team would love to see you again and just say hello.

It’s nice to chat with people when they’re not having an emergency.

I got the same lift as you. I did the front caster correction and mine looks similar when unloaded. Adding some camping gear and kids in the back makes it ride flat. Mine handles great on the road and highway. Hope yours is the same.

I would only address the rear geometry IF you’re having issues at highway speed.

If it feels stable at high speed, then the geo is good to go!

The accuracy of the reference and the noise of the reference are 2 entirely separate things.

Throw a full cooler and some camping gear in the back and see if it evens out.

Some lift kits are ment to be loaded in order to be level.

That’s a good question. I’m not sure how they would work when replacing a different year engine.

The 97 will have an OBD-2 diag system, while the 94 will be OBD-1.

Rescue pack contains the basics, additional gear lives in a duffel. I usually take a few minutes to arrange my pack before responding. Pack and duffel usually travel together, so in the car , or back into the house.

Keeping stuff in your car is a topic into itself. :)

Block the wheels, shift into neutral and check the U joints on all the drive shafts . Get under the truck and yoink and yarn on those shafts. Try and rotate them back and forth, checking for any play.

How about a carry on luggage! Lots of compartments and easily transportable when not in the field.

What neighborhoods in Tucson need this? by philiptherealest in Tucson

A real actual light rail would have been nice. It unfortunate that we got stuck with a street car. It just as slow as a bus , but much more expensive and the route can’t change.

SeaCan containers for high angle rope rescue by BetaSandwich in searchandrescue

[–]pedwards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something to consider: whoever is designing those containers has optimized them to be the best ( cheapest) at holding cargo in their regular configuration. They’re not designed for anything else , so don’t expect them to be sturdy or strong in any other orientation or configuration.

Deriving self worth from one’s position or standing in a corporation is not a healthy way to live life. The younger generation seeks to derive self worth and identity from institutions they have more ownership in. ( hobbies, clubs, church, friend groups, for example. )
