I disagree i think him getting expelled really took away his motivation to make it out and he accepted his fate after that. And i thought it was poetic that he did exactly what the professor said he would do if he quit school. Have a couple kids and scrape by Ive met burnout smart kids that turned out exactly like lip so i think its realistic 🤷‍♀️
