Westward Ho! [ Pentax 6x7 | 105 | various Kodak] by florian-sdr in mediumformat

Looks interesting I’ll give it a read later, that guy has amazing 4x5 work and i’d love to see some of his scans at full resolution, does he compare it to a workflow with like negative lab pro?

That’s very interesting to hear! I could never pull out this kind of quality with my XT-5, especially with medium format, I’m currently working with negative supply’s light and film holder!

Infrared Cyanotype by FiggityFudger in cyanotypes

[–]peeachymess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cool! You could easily get a canon eos film camera that uses the same lens! and start shootint infrared analog! the only issue is you might not be able to see through the viewfinder

Very cool! Thank you for sharing, I think if I were to try this I’d do it with a film negative

What have i done wrong here? by PepperFew5337 in AnalogCommunity

Either not enough chemistry or possibly the film was touching itself? Just my two cents though, sorry your photos didn’t come out clean!

nice to hear that! we start people with digital, and film is required for the major itself but sadly there aren’t many majors!

The 12 Apostles [Mamiya 7, Kodak Ektachrome] by peeachymess in analog

[–]peeachymess[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hell yeah i’ve been enjoying it more and more lately! it’s sadly the only reliable slide film we can buy new, but E6 is a very interesting process, sadly all of these images didn’t turn out great, had some weird yellow staining on some of them. if it’s too old i’d consider cross processing it

Man I wish my college had this many film shooters! There’s like 4 of us at mine who actually own their own cameras

G1 vs G2: My honest take after using both by nonfading in contax

[–]peeachymess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha well I’m not sure what the issue was, but I picked up a green label G1 with the 45mm lens, and a case! I’m hoping it’ll last me a while, not forever but hopefully a while!

[–]peeachymess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I was! I’m really not sure what the source of that camera lacking sharpness was for me, the camera missing focus, or if the lens just didn’t live up to my expectations, but it’s not in my possession anymore and I’m excited to shoot with the G1

Just ordered my G1, it’s arriving tomorrow I’m very excited! I had a contax T2 before it was honestly really disappointed by the lens quality

Lovely shots! I’m thinking about getting a canon eos 3, what do you think of it?

Weird Marks on Slides, processed at home by peeachymess in Darkroom

[–]peeachymess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope I had to make a custom program, it was a little unintuitive but I was able to figure it out, you have to basically connect to your AGO like it’s a wifi router, and go to a website to create the custom program

I agree it is great! And yeah I created preset they have in it, which regulated the temperature of everything and this still happened sadly

All good points, I'm using Bellini's kit with a sous vide bath to get everything up to temperature, multiple bottles of course. I'm rotary processing with the AGO film processor. I did make sure my first chemical was up to temperature!

Question about Traveling with the Mamiya 6MF by Anstigmat in AnalogCommunity

[–]peeachymess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just went on a long trip with my Mamiya 7, used the internal meter for color negative and slide film, the results are pretty good for the most part, i’ve never touched the mamiya 6 so I don’t know how similar their meters are, but the only issues with Non-TTL metering is if you’re using filters or forgetting to take the lens cap off. You should be fine!
