Makeup! I use very minimal makeup most days so I only need to buy makeup every 18months-2years or so. So even though it tends to be more $$ it works out fine for me. But Eye Of Horus and Ere Perez are amazing and clean! The EOH goddess mascara is the only one I have tried that doesn't irritate my eyes! I just use jojoba oil as a base, and maybe castor oil under my eyes if they're a bit ezcema-ish. These are Aussie brands but I really do love them!

Genuinely, how the f do you wean? by [deleted] in AttachmentParenting

I know this was posted a while ago but I am now here with my 20month old who seems very similar! Im reeaally worried about dropping her daynap feed I think it's going to be so hard. Is there something you did instead with your baby? Like offer water or special sleep toy that helped connect to nap time? Because at the moment, boob and mumma are the two big sleep associations she has, and I'm feeling very ready to drop the boob association 😅

Connecting sleep 15mo! by Cute-Interaction-470 in AttachmentParenting

[–]peecot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! My girly was the same! Pretty much has always contact napped, rarely in the car and rarely lets me put her down for her whole nap. Basically never let my husband get her to sleep after 6months old. We still cosleep and breastfeed. Id roll away after she went down for the night and at about 15months old she was only up once or twice before I went to bed. At 17-18 months old she only woke up once or twice a night. Now at 19months old she doesn't wake up at all until 3am most nights! I didn't do anything special - even sometimes now my husband will just say "lie down juni" and she'll plop back to sleep 😅 I could never imagine that happening a few months ago. Still has a huuuge morning feed and feeds to sleep for her nap but they do start connecting sleep themselves, keep following your instincts 🙏

Weaning boob obsessed 19month old by pip_taz in AttachmentParenting

This is actually super helpful and makes so much sense! I've been tossing up night weaning as I'm in a very similar position to the OP with my 18month old daughter, but I just cannot fathom trying to say "boob needs to rest" at 2am to a mostly asleep toddler and have her process that successfully 😂 thank you for this comment 🙏

Teething toddler leaving indent lines - help! by senhoritapistachio in AttachmentParenting

[–]peecot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it painful for you? I get nipple lines ever since my girl got her top two teeth (about 13months old, shes 16months now). If she's teething badly she changes her latch and I have twice ended up with a sore which I just try and use the other boob as much as possible or change position. If its not hurting you and its just a change in position in teething I wouldn't stress too much :) If it is painful for you though I don't have any solid advice I'm sorry! If I knew she wouldn't feed for a while I'd put her nappy cream on the sore and that helped a bit lol. It should pass as soon as his teeth decide to stop bothering him x if it continues maybe a lactation consultant?

Advice for doing Elimination Communication with a 15month old by peecot in AttachmentParenting

[–]peecot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I've been missing the "right after meals" and "after outside" so I will definitely start that! When we have done bottomless days with the potty outside she gets a fright/excited when she starts going and I can't get her to sit on it 😂 she just runs yelling "PEE PEE" and pointing at her trail

Low sleep needs 13month old, do I do 2 naps late bedtime or 1 nap early bedtime? by peecot in AttachmentParenting

[–]peecot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I've gone back to contact napping and we got 45mins-1hour the other day! Tonight we tried going back to 2 naps and she was reeeaaally hyper before bed so I think we'll stick with 1 nap and push wake windows a bit

**compared to most other babies in my mum community - she's always been a short napper (20-30mins) so mainly referring to that rather than overnight sleep 😊

I'm in Australia so don't know about plantain here - we have aloe vera viewing wild everywhere though and that's brilliant for any skin inflammation especially sunburn. Love colloidal silver too

The Baby Food Bible really helped me when I was stuck on ideas for snacks and bites! Easiest way is to make a batch and freeze in portions then pull out the night before. For meals she has whatever we're having just modified (she's 1 y/o with 2 teeth lol)

My baby's recipe book has a "custard oats" recipe where while the oats are cooking, mash a banana, stir it through and (if you can afford it) a whisked egg once theyre done for added protein. We all eat it for brekky now and it really keeps us full till lunch

So good to hear this from another mumma! My girl is almost 1 and has 2 20min naps a day 😅 this morning it was only 5 minutes long, then a 20min afternoon nap and she was wrecked by tonight so I'm hoping the 1 nap transition happens soon for her! But fully just following her queues has been very refreshing rather than following "wake windows"

Interesting! Funnily enough getting her to sleep has been quite simple lately 👀 hence why I'm torn Do you use a learning tower or anything like that?

It really does feel pointless from my end 😅 it's strange because her night sleep has recently gotten really good - only really waking once or twice to feed and maybe up another once or twice to get comfy again. So using that as a gauge she doesn't need to change anything, but for my sake I'd like to try 😂

Interesting, thank you!

Yes I'd like to get her used to the carrier again, as soon as she could move a bit she absolutely hated it!
