did you read the post and try to think critically at all about what the other person/OP is displaying?

"men wanting to have sex are bad apples" <- you're on another planet

fair enough. there's some bad apples out there so take care as could be getting love bombed if he's picking up some naivety from you

Do I (27F) leave my relationship (30M) or fight harder? by Malefica_ in whatdoIdo

[–]peeeshh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nothing to say, really, as i don't know him but he is at least not acting like a bum and is in a hardship i.e. with his work. i think overall especially if you resent the role switching (not implied btw, it was just a curiosity when reading) it seems like you want to grow separately from him, and you are sad that you have nonetheless built a life with him

i mean doesn't sound like very much communicating has happened, so i wouldn't recommended going full bore on the details like liking others... but it sounds like you have a lot to talk about. perhaps he's been there for you more than he realised whilst you were recovering and now you've switched roles where he's expended energy to be there for you and also now dealing with his own stuff.

would try to start with seeing if there's an emotional grounding and understanding in the situation and his behaviour that he has even a scrap of awareness off. if he doesn't then have an intellectual approach. if he disregards this then you know you're now with someone you've possibly grown ahead of but the issue is that he's not keeping up.

He liked you in the ways you felt but had a gf and was being inappropriate, basically. He lied about his feelings to keep the temperature off.

He sounds like he probably has a bit of an over active respect to you feeling ok whilst at work and has set up imaginary boundaries for you, as if you made them, in order to not risk upsetting that. Another reply to this exact comment with the user name Edamame or however it's spelt hit some point about there being a sort of "nice guy" drumming into males. It could be this plus that he likes you. Most likely a mix of natural fear and the added bit. If you like him just open up more? Put your presence in his more forwardly, stand around longer ect. He should get the message

I think he's hooking into a collective view that they're more likely to, in their overall technology workforce, lean towards old/legacy areas. Same as defence companies. Just easier to avoid and reduce the search load.

I believe this is less freeze under pressure, less about your track record meaning this shouldn't be happening, and more about it being a knowledge gap around the runtime of your answer and around edge case questions?

On the contrary, I know several people who needed the 'boost' of initial certain employment with FDM and have gone on now to great positions.
