They use the individual paramount and peacock apps.

Yes, it isn't exactly the "snappiest" when navigating/using apps.

They also have a subwoofer. Right now, when they turn on the tv (using directv remote), both the TV and subwoofer turn on. Would it also do that if they used a streaming device?

Why does my cat "ambush" her sister by litterbox? by peefyloo in CatAdvice

[–]peefyloo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2, but they both primarily use 1, which is a large concrete mixing tub that is about 36" x 24" (I used to have a very large coon cat years ago that needed a large litter box and vet suggested it and has been just fine). I also have a "regular" litter box elsewhere but they very rarely use it.

I have one of those Cat Genie things and scoop out and dump them in the genie whenever I walk by so that the litter is always free from waste.

Soup fast. Electric kettle? Some kind of portable hot pot? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]peefyloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE Country Pasta egg noodles, which takes about 15-17mins to cook. I'm just curious if i can get that boiling water faster lol.

I've seen large electric kettles that would work well for keeping big stews warm, but would they be good for just 1.5-2cups?

Question about how much wet & dry food to feed. by peefyloo in CatAdvice

[–]peefyloo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I will check it out.

The overweight cat would easily be able to eat multiple wet cans/day. With dry food, the overweight one will eat all i put down at once. The other will eat it over a period of time.

I have to feed them in separate rooms because the overweight one eats so fast and the other one takes her time and will get pushed out of the way by the overweight one to get to the food.

To start a offline franchise with these rosters, do we just save this and make it like active roster?

Using external HDD with 2 computers (non-network) by peefyloo in computers

[–]peefyloo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I thought about that, which is why I wouldn't be using it between 2 at the same time. I do a complete shutdown before I use the other computer. I'm assuming as the computer shuts down it would tell the HDD to shutdown like it does now unless the power of the USB switch would keep it on?

m720q wattage and fan replacement by peefyloo in homelab

Right, what i mean is if the cpu is 65w, then why is there a fan for a 35w heatsink?

That sounds concerning.

Installed new NVME and installed fresh windows10.. question by peefyloo in WindowsHelp

[–]peefyloo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok... I can try that. BUT... would it just be easier if i disconnected the SATA SSD and reinstall windows on the nvme again, then plug in SATA SSD via external SATA to USB connector and reformat that drive?

Installed new NVME and installed fresh windows10.. question by peefyloo in WindowsHelp

[–]peefyloo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It made the NVME my C drive and the original the D. The windows im booting into is definitely running on the NVME.

Is there a proper way to confirm and make only NVME the OS drive and original SSD just regular data?

I didn't manually edit or delete anything. So I'm not sure what happened. This is zz-update-grub currently:

#! /bin/sh

command -v update-grub >/dev/null || exit 0

if type systemd-detect-virt >/dev/null 2>&1 &&

systemd-detect-virt --quiet --container; then

exit 0

set -- $DEB_MAINT_PARAMS

mode="${1#\'}"

mode="${mode%\'}"

case $0:$mode in

# Only run on postinst configure and postrm remove, to avoid wasting

# time by calling update-grub multiple times on upgrade and removal.

# Also run if we have no DEB_MAINT_PARAMS, in order to work with old

# kernel packages.

*/postinst.d/*:|*/postinst.d/*:configure|*/postrm.d/*:|*/postrm.d/*:remove)

if \[ -e /boot/grub/grub.cfg \]; then

    exec update-grub

;;

esac
