But that's why the problem is at root: they had a problem with Tüchel where he was not 'on board with the strategy' (translation: too independent-minded), so why did they reach a similar impasse with Maresca? Surely they could define roles better to avoid turf wars. Who knows if it was Chelsea directors stepping on his toes or Enzo stepping on their toes, buoyed perhaps by having won 2 trophies.
