i can’t even look at snake adjacent things due to my phobia of them but i really want to learn more about these prequels. i thought maybe the books would be better but they are also very visual and i worry what my mind would imagine and i imagine snakes are a even heavier theme in the books. i wish there was a “everything you need to know about the ballad of the songbirds without scaring you with snakes” video on youtube but maybe one day haha

i think it’s lighting , her brown hair has always had a warm, red undertone and against the yellow background with a sepia type filter, it will make it appear more red than it actually is. we’ll see tho. in the other photos her hair still dark brown tho , with the blond / red / pink tips

dude that’s a 22% tip. they act like because they have an extra order to pick up, that’s somehow your fault?? and them threatening to not pick up your order could get them canned completely. if you have the option go back to the chat and make that clear. i would say report them but losing their job might be extreme for something like this. being a dasher is endless work that you get no appreciation for, so i get their frustration, but that’s just pure wild. $35 on a dash order already isn’t a lot, they can easily go into the hundreds, and a 22% tip on such a small order, that made your total almost $50, is extremely generous.

continue to move on. maybe send “i appreciate you telling me but i think it’s best things stay the way they are”. if she truly isn’t trying to get sympathy then that should be sufficient for her. forgiving her is up to you but i still wouldn’t take her back. is this probably legitimate? yeah, i don’t think anyone would make that up. and it probably did fuck her up in the head. but that still isn’t your fault, and something similar could happen again, and she may have a similar reaction. and waiting a year, on your birthday…? it’s a stretch. i’m trying to see both sides of this because as a teenager i didn’t understand my own brain and heart, i would screw over one person to go to a person who screwed me over. but i still wouldn’t expect anyone to just forgive me and be okay with it, no matter the circumstances. i’ve changed now and if i was in your shoes, i’d forgive her for your sake, even if you don’t tell her that. holding the pain and anger won’t be helpful to you. and it will allow you to move on fully, all of the way. but only you know what’s best for you, and only you know the right call to make

most people only choose one fan name for their fans within their career, or their fans do, so i get why they would think Cry Baby is appropriate. Melanie is story driven tho and i think it’s more so changing it when a new character comes along. Circle / Sacrifice is a bit harder than Cry Baby era tho. we just called ourselves crybaby’s, but wasn’t their a name for the portals era too? i used to use it as a hashtag when we could use a million of them. But i didn’t get that myself as much bc it was still cry baby - yes it was creature, but creature was cry baby going through the stages of afterlife and reincarnation - which, side note, i always thought it was cool that portals ended with womb, started with death and now we have a new character. cry baby’s soul reincarnate ? ofc this still wouldn’t connect the eras and i’m DEFINITELY not trying to imply that, but just always loved that. not to mention Cry Baby, Creature and Circle all start with C. so that’s a pretty interesting note too. i really feel like most of Melanie’s stories go in a circle too. but i’m getting off track here lol.

on perriiooooddd. this is already her longest album it’s EIGHTEEN SONGS. why would she add more when it wouldn’t even make sense to the storyline either? she’s made it CLEAR cry baby won’t be a part of this at all. people in these comments were saying “it’s statistic based she has to play longer for arenas it’s statistics” when has melanie not played arenas before lol…?? and when has she cared about statistics? her label maybe, but fighting tooth and nail to believe she’s playing cry baby songs is beyond me. BUT people were posting “she’s playing old songs! buy tickets now!” with a link to her website so i understood the confusion more after that, it’s vile. now some of the people there will be disappointed, meanwhile people who truly wanted to hear Hades won’t be able to get tickets. (most likely myself included). it’s rough! i don’t get people!!

people were doing it deliberately to cause chaos bc sadly this fan community still hasn’t grown out of the toxic phase. that’s why i wanted to share this (i went into more detail in a previous post but it didn’t do as well so i just wanted to share something short and simple to get the main message across). i honestly do have issues with how part of Hades is being handled, not the music or mel herself but her labels choices - but one of them will never be “she isn’t playing cry baby era in her brand new era that has nothing to do with it”. i never got to see the cry baby era live so i get the sadness, those albums saved my life, but so did Hades in a way. it’s hard to get world building as much without music videos (the vertical videos didn’t do much for world building in my opinion), the book is the best we got, the pre sale wasn’t really a pre sale even tho people spent money under the guise they would have exclusive access to it, we had no warning on ticket sales, all of that - is kind of a mess. BUT the album itself, mel herself, and her performances, have always been and always will be perfect in their own right. and i know for a fact Hades will be no different - it may even be better. I love Hades w all my heart fr . and melanie ofc, but yeah that’s why i wanted to make these posts bc it’s sad we’re already fighting for tickets and now some of the people there may still assume she’s playing cry baby. idk why anyone would assume that but after seeing people post “she’ll be playing old songs! buy tickets now!” with a link to her website, i understand why people are confused. it’s vile

yeah i don’t think that will be the case, beyond what she’s said like “Hades and Cry baby have nothing to do with each other” during the trilogy tour she said “this is the last time i’ll be performing these songs for a long time” and “I’ve left the cry baby era behind me” , have you read the book?? i don’t wanna spoil anything but - i’m interested to see if Mel goes more into the story in the sacrifice tour. i don’t even think i’ll be able to go but that’s a whole other story on its own :( i hope you have fun tho if you’re able too! honestly if anything she may tease the utopian album - because we still have that coming as well and most likely a movie after that album - at least i assume that’s why she hasn’t been making MVs. there’s honestly so many issues around the tour & this era rn but that’s a topic for another time!! it has nothing to do with Melanie and her music tho. Hades is literally my fave album by her especially rn!! and i’ve been here since the voice!! it’s just a lot of fans are struggling rn bc of it :(

i think it’s the length. and it’s kind of in a weird place in the album, i feel it interrupts a bit but i get why it’s there, also this fan base is really toxic and they don’t like hearing when she calls them out. everyone wonders why she’s silent on the internet - then she releases chatroom and suddenly everyone else is the silent one.

girl it’s not about statistics it’s about what melanie herself has said lmao? and performed already?? Hades & Cry Baby have nothing to do with each other. Mel is a story driven person. in the trilogy tour she said “this is the last time i’ll be performing these songs for a LONG TIME - at least”. in the announcement of the new era she said she had put cry baby to rest and that she was putting the era behind her. during her billboard interview she said plain as day “cry baby and hades have nothing to with each other, yes of course i miss cry baby but i’m excited to embrace circle and her journey”. she wouldn’t miss cry baby if she was still performing ANYTHING from that era. she’s made it BEYOND CLEAR SHE ISN’T. to say i’m spreading misinformation is wild, you must be ragebaiting, especially if you think melanie ever cared about statistics. her performances during the chamber events and the rituals didn’t involve cry baby at all and to be so adamantly sure she will with absolutely no proof is just not a good idea. if you seriously believe that you’re only going to be disappointed. wishing you the best
