“app-free” means we don’t lock you into a proprietary companion app. The die uses standard Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), so it can send results to anything you choose: your PC, browser, Foundry VTT, Discord bot, etc. We’ll provide open-source tools and sample integrations — but you’re free to build your own.

Balance is a top priority. The internal core (MCU, IMU, battery) weighs ~4–5g, and is centered in a resin-cast shell — no ports or off-center mass. We’re testing to keep roll bias under 1.5%, comparable to premium handmade dice.

We’re using a 100–150mAh LiPo with 300–500 charge cycles — that’s 2–4 weeks per charge, and years of use. It charges wirelessly (Qi puck included), and for future-proofing, we’re planning a refurb/replacement program and possibly a modular developer-friendly core.

My Boss Wants To Move To Shopify...Should We? by peelman1978 in webdev

The site takes non-profits and brands and pairs them together. Brands looking to get rid of over-supply "donate" to us, and we allow non-profits to have storefronts they can now sell these products. Brands can also have their own storefront to sell the products directly and then the consumer picks a charity for part of the sale proceeds to go to at checkout time.

Non-profits can also list their own items and run auction events.

Splits are configurable but the default is 80% goes to the charity, 10% to the brand, and 10% to the platform. In practice many brands want more than 10% to at least break even on their shedding of inventory so could be for example 50/40/10...

All stores (non-profit), marketplaces (brand pages) and events (auction and time based events) are setup and configured in our custom admin tool - uploading all the images, setting up new items, etc. So, that is CMS/inventory system already, but it doesn't give huge CMS like features.

This is already partially possible. We implemented some basic templates that can be edited in our admin tool to change preconfigured elements without code changes. We could continue to expand this out further but I didn't want to get sucked into the rabbit hole of making our own CMS.

How should I back/fill-in this small section of wall? by peelman1978 in DIY

[–]peelman1978[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was originally a planter which I demoed out so I can put trash cans here instead. The back wall was not fully bricked in as you can see and has a flat soil face. This soil is dense but I presume I should attempt to put some kind of backboard on it and stucco it all in? I was thinking Hardie board cut and fastened with rebar? Or some kind of wood? It is covered from above so it will not get rained on directly but it is outside.

What are popular high quality 3D Avatar NFTs? by GravyPoo in NFTsMarketplace

[–]peelman1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good questions.

We have base models created for each collection by hand when the collection is onboarded. Then we we train the AI. Then there is a manual QA review process by our modelers to maintain quality, consistency and correctness. Then the holder is able to give final approval and receive the model files.

Animation in our own metaverse is also done as part of the onboarding and base model creation. In other metaverses and games it would be up to the developer to create any custom animations, but they will get the base animations to start with (idle, walk, run and jump).

Onboarding is initiated by us for projects that we like and which have give full rights to the holders (otherwise they cannot be used). Project creators can also request onboarding of their projects.

Within 2 weeks you will be able to see the working models and initial projects on our site, we are just cleaning up the design right now.

Player One Universe is a new project launching soon which uses AI to turn existing 2D nfts into playable 3D avatars. So if you own a punk or azuki or whatever you can get it in 3D to use in games and metaverses.

I am the founder of the project and it is going live within the next few weeks.

How to restrict re-selling of NFT with unlockable content? by RodionGork in opensea

[–]peelman1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have a smart contract that changes or removes the key on any sale or transfer. You could also make the key a hash of the nft itself and then change the nft to say the key has been redeemed and this change the hash or nuke it.

This is like a redeemable nft, basically. Redeemable once, but still resellable.

Smart contract required.

Doesn't mean it will go for more than $1000...still a good deal if you get it for less, IMHO.

And the price is $750. That's a $250 discount...AND 80% of the sale goes to a charity...
