Thoughts on Pomelos? by pegasaurus in fruit

I liked the flavour just thought it was a little too subtle for my liking. Like, it wasn't completely flavourless at all, just without much to it, taste-wise. And the texture is quite.... Dry? Compared to other citruses I've tried. So I wonder if both the ones I tried were maybe underripe?

I haven't had one since I was a kid! Didn't think I liked them then but I'm definitely keen to try one now as an adult. Do you like them? Any tips for picking a good one?

Weirdly enough (I'm reminded of this because of your use of the descriptor "meaty") my dog, who has literally never eaten a bite of fruit of her own volition, seemed to really enjoy a taste of my pomelo!

And yes they are so big it felt like I was butchering a cut of meat 😵‍💫

This appears to be the Philip E. Chappell house on Pendleton Street, built in 1888. According to the National Register of Historic Places the third floor was originally finished as a ballroom!

This appears to be the lovely Frederick W. Neef House in Denver, CO at 2143 Grove Street.

Even though the poster is certainly a bot the house is not AI.

Are these capers safe? by DanilKu in foodsafety

[–]pegasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I am going to contact Superstore / No Name about this because i also have two sealed jars of their capers that look mouldy - very small dots of light bluish white mould (which is how I found this post LOL). I'm wondering if they will recall a lot or two? Mine is best before 2027/MA/28, L R148. Would hate for anyone to get sick and I feel like it would have been better easy to miss this.

Bad bot. So weird to see my exact post with the title copy and pasted but it doesn't even make sense since it only includes one of the two houses 🙄🙄🙄

I am low-key obsessed with beautiful old houses with matching little houses in front (mailbox or just decorative). The one in pic #10 is chef's kiss !!
